Seasonal temperature variation

- Seasonal temperature variation → Seasonal lag (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Propose deletion. This goes to one concept related to seasonal temperature variation, but does not cover seasonal temperature variation in general. Conceivably we could also just redirect to season but I think it's better just to leave blank for future article development. Calliopejen1 (talk) 22:02, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep. I agree with the nom that the target does not fully address the topic indicated by the redirect, but I think the ideal future solution would be to expand the target article to include such content and then consider a page move to this title. It seems both the nominator and creator of the redirect want an article that is a good parallel to diurnal air temperature variation, and I concur. But I don't think we need a separate article on seasonal temperature variation and seasonal lag, as the two are so closely related, so redlinking here doesn't make sense. Mdewman6 (talk) 17:51, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
- I created the redirect; I figured it was the closest content we had, and would adequately give anyone following the link an encyclopedic overview of the meaning of the phrase. I've template-categorized the redirect as a Template:R from less specific name to make that clear (just learned I could do that!). I'd have no objections to a separate article on seasonal temperature variation if a good one can be written. Seasonal lag seems large enough that expanding it into a broader-concept article might be a bit difficult, but if anyone wanted to do that I'd be fine with it too. - Template:Country data Zimbabwe Rhodesia → Template:Country data Zimbabwe-Rhodesia (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Originally nominated for deletion by @ColorfulSmoke with the reason "incorrect name, Zimbabwe-Rhodesia should be moved to Zimbabwe Rhodesia" FASTILY 22:04, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Round-Robin Move {{Country data Zimbabwe-Rhodesia}} to {{Country data Zimbabwe Rhodesia}}, leaving a redirect in the former location. The article explains that "Zimbabwe Rhodesia" was the country's official name. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:29, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
Round-Robin Move per Jonesey95.Move redirect per BDD. CycloneYoris talk! 06:14, 24 September 2021 (UTC)- Jonesey95 and CycloneYoris, this redirect only has trivial history. Is there a reason we can't just move the target directly over it? A round-robin move seems overly complex here. --BDD (talk) 20:32, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- Not sure what Jonesey95 thinks, but moving it over the target seems like a much better idea. I'll strike and change my !vote above. CycloneYoris talk! 00:16, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- Fine with me. I don't do this sort of move, so I don't know the nuances. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:36, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

- Keep/Oppose move The country's name was Zimbabwe Rhodesia, there's no hyphen in it. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 08:11, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- The C of E, that sounds supportive of a move. The move would effectively remove the hyphen from the template name. --BDD (talk) 18:33, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- Move template to redirect title, per above. The sole oppose vote seems confused - the countries name doesn't have a hyphen in it but they support keeping the template at the hyphenated title? 192.76.8.74 (talk) 20:48, 3 October 2021 (UTC)

All these redirects appear to be minor game items and should be removed - none are mentioned in target article and such redirects are confusing for WP readers. -Liancetalk/contribs 21:36, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete: None of these redirects are probable search terms. ―Susmuffin Talk 23:52, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Comment looks like these were merged in 2005. I still think delete, as we no longer mention them in the target article (and probably shouldn't, from a cursory look) - if someone reinstates the information on them, then keep. Elli (talk | contribs) 05:44, 8 September 2021 (UTC)

I see what you mean though, and I think now it might just be better to include that a common name for him was Ahmed Jan in the article now instead of making a separate redirect. - Would Dark Avengers perhaps be a better target? 192.76.8.74 (talk) 19:17, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Comment. I know Black Spider-Man leads to Miles Morales with a hatnote pointing to Symbiote (comics) (for the
black Spider-Man costume
). For whatever reason in its hatnote, "Black Spiderman" (no hyphen) suggests Spider-Man 3 instead for thesymbiote-bonded Peter Parker

My preference would be to delete this misspelling, but if kept it should be retargeted to Bianchini (lunar crater) which is the target of Bianchini (crater). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:36, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete per nom, as it is a typo that could apply to multiple targets. While not part of this nomination, I think Bianchini (crater) would be better targeted to Bianchini as {{R from incomplete disambiguation}} or made into a two-item dab, then have {{For}} hatnotes between the two crater articles, but I guess having it as a WP:primary redirect to the lunar article is alright. "Viewers like you" refers to how public broadcasting stations ask their viewers to contribute money towards operating their stations. An underwriting spot has nothing to do with viewers - instead it refers to government or corporate contributors who are allowed to broadcast short messages. I'm not clear on what the target should be for this phrase. Previously it targeted Public broadcasting service, which may be an appropriate target. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 05:38, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
