Propose deletion. This goes to one concept related to seasonal temperature variation, but does not cover seasonal temperature variation in general. Conceivably we could also just redirect to season but I think it's better just to leave blank for future article development. Calliopejen1 (talk) 22:02, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. I agree with the nom that the target does not fully address the topic indicated by the redirect, but I think the ideal future solution would be to expand the target article to include such content and then consider a page move to this title. It seems both the nominator and creator of the redirect want an article that is a good parallel to diurnal air temperature variation, and I concur. But I don't think we need a separate article on seasonal temperature variation and seasonal lag, as the two are so closely related, so redlinking here doesn't make sense. Mdewman6 (talk) 17:51, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I created the redirect; I figured it was the closest content we had, and would adequately give anyone following the link an encyclopedic overview of the meaning of the phrase. I've template-categorized the redirect as a Template:R from less specific name to make that clear (just learned I could do that!). I'd have no objections to a separate article on seasonal temperature variation if a good one can be written. Seasonal lag seems large enough that expanding it into a broader-concept article might be a bit difficult, but if anyone wanted to do that I'd be fine with it too. Round-Robin Move {{Country data Zimbabwe-Rhodesia}} to {{Country data Zimbabwe Rhodesia}}, leaving a redirect in the former location. The article explains that "Zimbabwe Rhodesia" was the country's official name. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:29, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All these redirects appear to be minor game items and should be removed - none are mentioned in target article and such redirects are confusing for WP readers. -Liancetalk/contribs 21:36, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any results relevant to the target when searching this name online and on Google Scholar; all results appear to be about unrelated individuals named Ahmed Jan. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 18:31, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I initially created the page due to Sultan Ahmed Khan being called in various british accounts as Ahmed Jan (see these pages: https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/OW18630411.2.9 https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/13072787 https://books.google.com/books?id=lWtDAAAAcAAJ&pg=PA581&lpg=PA581&dq=ahmed jan herat 1863&source=bl&ots=lehtry0QFv&sig=ACfU3U0zE2JCBlx5zfw5GscSvvQ0oReAtw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiU6J3Ixu3yAhX2MlkFHSTQDrwQ6AF6BAgnEAM#v=onepage&q=ahmed jan herat 1863&f=false https://hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/1862-05-29/debates/addca591-f11d-4777-b978-6eebaf18fcf8/AffairsOfCentralAsia https://books.google.com/books?id=9rk5AQAAIAAJ&pg=PA221&lpg=PA221&dq=ahmed jan herat&source=bl&ots=OG8HahMYYP&sig=ACfU3U1dw3l3muDbXs-gQn0O-y5x-36Usw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwir49uIxu3yAhVDGFkFHSX1DfYQ6AF6BAgoEAM#v=onepage&q=ahmed jan herat&f=false https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Herat_from_the_Citadel.png). I see what you mean though, and I think now it might just be better to include that a common name for him was Ahmed Jan in the article now instead of making a separate redirect. Kailanmapper (talk) 19:09, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why not both? - There should be a mention in the article and a redirect, so keep. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:45, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fair point. I suggest we wait for the administrator who made this discussion to reply though. Rosguill, what do you think about this? Does this sound like a good compromise? Kailanmapper (talk) 03:53, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Viewers like you" refers to how public broadcasting stations ask their viewers to contribute money towards operating their stations. An underwriting spot has nothing to do with viewers - instead it refers to government or corporate contributors who are allowed to broadcast short messages. I'm not clear on what the target should be for this phrase. Previously it targeted Public broadcasting service, which may be an appropriate target.
