- Delete: I don't believe the {{PD-RomaniaGov}} template cover this image even though the award is jointly sponsored by the the Writers' Union of Romania and the Romanian Cultural Institute, especially with all the logos attached. The commons template commons:Template:PD-RO-exempt gives a fuller list of the exempt items. ww2censor (talk) 04:07, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Orphaned file. Photo of a postal stamp. Ronhjones (Talk) 20:59, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as speedy: this 2002 postage stamp is an obvious copyvio because Indian stamps are copyright for 60 years per commons:Commons:Stamps/Public domain templates. ww2censor (talk) 21:56, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- File:BronxMap 1868.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This image (see history) was originally uploaded as a non-free image and was subsequently tagged for deletion since it does not meet the "no free equivalent" criterion outlined here. However, this is a photograph of an 1868 map. Since the map itself is in the public domain, I believe that the image is also in the public domain in the US due to the Bridgeman Art Library v. Corel Corp. ruling. I don't consider myself much of an expert though, so I'm hoping competent copyright buffs can figure out if I'm right. Pichpich (talk) 23:12, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- This image is a scanned image of a what is a copy of the original which dates to 1868. Additionally, I have read the copyright notice from the website historicmapsrestored.com and they have claims against anyone taking the company's image or logo for use other then their own. They do not explicitly mention that maps themselves can not be reproduced as I read it in the beginning of their copyright disclaimer. I would hyperlink their site to the copyright information but they state that "websites may not hyperlink to any page beyond the homepage of this MapsofthePast Inc.Website, or frame this MapsofthePast Inc. Website, or any web page or material herein, nor may any entity include a hyperlink to any aspect of the MapsofthePast Inc." TheBronxNYC (talk) 01:53, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: @TheBronxNYC, if you are concerned about their terms, which likely cannot be enforced, then tell us how to find the image. What search terms did you use to find the image? We still need to ensure the copyright status, so seeing the image, at least once, will help. Many sites don't like inline hyperlinking because that displays the content on the lining page and they don't like normal hyperlinks because when they change the page location the links breaks. ww2censor (talk) 02:34, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
