The result of the discussion was: Textbook WP:NFCC#8 violation. No prejudice to restoration if the article(s) this image was used in are significantly expanded to explicitly discuss this image in-depth -FASTILY 22:23, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- File:Lennon and Chapman.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Andreasegde (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
WP:NFCC#10c is not satisfied as there is not a separate and specific non-free use rationale for each use. Additionally, the existing rationale does not address the purpose of use / criterion 8 (a necessary component). Use in the Lennon and Chapman articles isn't minimal, and the articles are easily understood without it (criterion 8). It may be debatable whether use in Murder of John Lennon could be policy-compliant if someone were to write an appropriate rationale addressing criterion 8; however, I don't think that it is. There is no sourced commentary in the article about the photo itself and what is written (that one was taken) can be easily understood without the photo. — JJMC89 (T·C) 02:16, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- Keep: It hasn't been a problem before, so why is it a problem now? Also, the image is iconic as it's one of the last images of him alive. If you want it removed from the Murder of John Lennon page, I will gladly do that. Angelgreat (talk) 02:23, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

, which is not true. It is not used for visual identification, and neither the photo nor what it depicts are the subject of any of the articles (Lennon, Chapman, and Lennon's murder). They also all claimIt would only be used on the article about <article>.
That isn't true since it is used three times, not one. — JJMC89 (T·C) 04:34, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Really? The main subject of those three articles is this photograph? --Stefan2 (talk) 16:08, 13 October 2021 (UTC)- If you wan't, I'll remove it from the Murder of John Lennon article if it makes everyone happy. Angelgreat (talk) 17:15, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- Delete - None of the uses currently are WP:NFC compliant as noted in the nomination, and appear to be boiler plate copies of non-free usage rationales. Usage of non-free images is not a mere formality of filling in some fields on a non-free usage rationale. There is no proper stated purpose nor can I see one being created that would justify this images use in any of the articles it is currently used in. -- Whpq (talk) 21:16, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

- Comment: I was the uploader of this image. I just want to say that I endorse this nomination. I remember being unconvinced by the legitimacy of "eNollyTrailers", but decided to go against my better judgement at that time. Since there is now an alternate picture in the article then a removal is no longer as significant as it once was. HandsomeBoy (talk) 20:32, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
