- The result of the discussion was: delete per WP:C1. (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 23:11, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Consensus that non-encyclopedic Wikipedian categories should NEVER be populated by a template; the user must actively request the category by name. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 23:13, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Comment This category has been emptied. Liz Read! Talk! 18:44, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. (non-admin closure) DannyS712 (talk) 08:44, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Delete because this amounts to trivia and is a non-defining characteristic of these bowl games. SportsGuy789 (talk) 21:31, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 21:58, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Also the fuzziness around what constituents College football national championships in NCAA Division I FBS lends needless complication to the matter. Jweiss11 (talk) 22:18, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Comment I feel it probably will be deleted on the awkward name alone, but it does seem like something noteworthy: which bowl game was the bowl game the national champion played in, especially in the days before BCS and national championship games. It feels like it should be a navbox or a category or something. Cake (talk) 01:03, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete per above, perhaps the information is worth retaining in a list, but I am not sure. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:04, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete -- much too convoluted a category. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:47, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: Merge Timrollpickering (Talk) 14:16, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: The current title is a clumsy incorrect translation of a post which is actually called "Supreme Commander" in English until 2008, and "Chief of Defence Forces" after. The current members of the category all held the post prior to 2008, so this could also be renamed to Category:Supreme Commanders of Thailand if they are to be kept separate. Paul_012 (talk) 19:17, 23 February 2020 (UTC) PS The corresponding article was renamed to List of Chiefs of Defence Forces (Thailand) in 2017. --Paul_012 (talk) 17:14, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
- Prefer renaming to avoid anachronism, but do not oppose merging either. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:47, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: Merge to Category:Germany rail transport templates Timrollpickering (Talk) 14:15, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Kursbuchstrecke to Category:Germany rail transport templates
- Nominator's rationale: The category name doesn't indicate that it's a category for templates. An alternative to the merge would be a rename e.g. to Category:Kursbuchstrecke templates. DexDor (talk) 17:47, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Merge even deeper to Category:Templates for railway lines of Germany, all templates concern railway lines. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:19, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: keep (non-admin closure). Marcocapelle (talk) 23:13, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Substantially useless category, it contains only one politician. Scia Della Cometa (talk) 16:08, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Keep - this captures a defining characteristic of its politicians. Also part of Category:Italian politicians by party. Oculi (talk) 17:09, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Keep per Oculi, and per WP:SMALLCAT. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 03:29, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: rename. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 02:39, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Tree frog stubs to Category:Hylidae stubs
- Nominator's rationale: To match Template:Hylidae-stub. Hylidae and tree frog are not synonyms. Note: This reverses a decision made in 2014, but at that point there was no Category:Hylidae. DexDor (talk) 08:16, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Givent hat we also have Category:Rhacophoridae stubs this makes total sense. Grutness...wha? 02:04, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support Not all tree-dwelling frogs are members of the family Hylidae. The stub template indicates that the category is intended to be members of Hylidae (and I don't think a category for tree-dwelling frogs would be appropriate). Plantdrew (talk) 20:19, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Awards received by person

- The result of the discussion was: Use singular Timrollpickering (Talk) 16:02, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- Propose renaming:
- Nominator's rationale: to clarify that these categories are for lists of awards by recipient, not by the presenter. That clarity is already present in the title of Category:Lists of honors and awards received by Presidents of the United States; this nomination changes the others to match.
- I can't decide whether the titles should use the singular form of the occupational noun ("by writer" etc) or the plural form ("by writers" etc), so I have listed both options. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 00:17, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support singular. Grammatically, "...by writer/musician" makes more sense, since we're not listing awards that writers and musicians can receive (i.e., awards received by musicians and writers), but listing each individual's awards. Grutness...wha? 02:07, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- If renamed, use singular, per Grutness. The need for renaming as such is fairly limited, the current names do not seem very ambiguous, but renaming does not harm much either. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:44, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
