Non-notable soldier/athlete only notable for his death (WP:BIO1E). Doesn't pass WP:NSPORT either. Curbon7 (talk) 09:20, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

- Keep Passes GNG. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 03:46, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- Sportsfan 1234, You can't say that and not explain how lol. Curbon7 (talk) 00:23, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- Delete or merge It would be interesting to have a small segment of a page documenting notable Ukrainians lost in battle, but as a biathlon enjoyer, I don't think Malyshev is notable enough by himself. Imho it violates WP:BIO1E and also WP:GNG because Malyshev never made it to a World Cup match. Instead of arguing for the keeping of Malyshev, if you are really interested in having this article up you could write about people such as Egor Tutmin who won the youth biathlon cup recently - Réunion (stylised) - (talk to me) 21:02, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- Delete As said on the talk page, I can't find any articles that are not about his death or were published in English before his death. Also seems to fail notability guidelines Corn Kernel (talk) 17:53, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
- Delete or merge. I'd prefer to see a merger to some list of victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine or such, but sadly I don't see what makes him pass WP:GNG to have his own article. It's tragic, but the war cut his career short before he became notable as a sportsperson. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:55, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- Malyshev is already mentioned at the article for the battle he died in, so that's been handled. Curbon7 (talk) 23:59, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
