No sources to indicate independent notability or any analysis by critics as to the significance of this episode. Episode screenshot appears to be from the related Wikia page, although the summary differs. [1] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:07, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Withdrawn by nominator. The pilot episode's promotion and reception is what prompted a second season to be ordered before the regular first season even premiered. It also set ratings records on Disney XD. As mentioned below, individual episode articles should only be reserved for these special cases where there are independent reviews and notability. A valid criticism. I should have completed the Reception section before saving the article. I realize what I have right now probably is not enough for notability, but what is the general standard for this? AntiGravityMaster (talk) 18:41, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The general standard is WP:GNG. You need to find articles that discuss the particular episode. And see also WP:EPISODE which also summarizes when an episode might be noteworthy of its own article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:55, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose I should have started with the one two episodes nominated for awards, but I guess I just figured the first episode of a show deserved its own page for some reason? In any case, I've added sources and a Reception section, although it's a bit small. So... progress, I guess. AntiGravityMaster (talk) 02:11, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the article has a few sources now (I don't think I really need to outright say it, since it's pretty obvious, but I'm in favor of keeping the article). AntiGravityMaster (talk) 16:27, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It might be enough. I just didn't want to see episode articles created for every episode of Star because outside of the pilot, the Party with a Pony, and possibly Battle for Mewni, the others are not notable at all. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:34, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't believe that anywhere near all of them are notable. I completely agree that "Party With a Pony" and "Battle for Mewni", as well as the pilot, are the only really notable ones, although I do think that "Blood Moon Ball" might be notable due to its award nomination, as well as "Storm the Castle", possibly.
