The result was delete. A strong consensus has formed that this subject does not warrant a separate article. The value of a redirect at this title has been challenged, so going with delete for closing this discussion. A redirect can be created (and taken to WP:RFD) if desired through the normal editing process. Hog Farm Talk 03:55, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

This does not meet WP:NGEO or WP:GNG. Yes, Lake Superior, like all lakes has a southern shore, but I see nothing that either makes this an official designation or a commonly used name. Rusf10 (talk) 04:40, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

- Keep -- Granted, it is less well know than its northern counterpart, but it is certainly used in the region to differentiate between the Michigan/Wisconsin side of the lake and the Minnesota/Ontario side. A quick internet search of "south shore lake superior" brings up numerous instances of the term which easily meets WP:GEOLAND. -- Dolotta (talk) 13:07, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Dolotta:Please provide some sources so we can evaluate them. Yes, a Google search gets some hits, but I don't see anything that establishes notability.--Rusf10 (talk) 15:00, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Delete I saw these search results too, but it's nothing compared to Minnesota as a recognized region. Better covered in Lake Superior, Upper Peninsula of Michigan, etc. Reywas92Talk 17:50, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Delete. There is no such region or area defined as "South Shore" in the state of Michigan. It is merely the southern shore of Lake Superior and has no significance. —Notorious4life (talk) 04:03, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

- Merge and redirect - If anything is mergable, please merge and redirect to Lake Superior. Always nice to avoid deletion if we can. Missvain (talk) 02:10, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I oppose this. South Shore is not an actual term that is used anywhere and there's really nothing to save from this article, its just a list of places that someone has deemed to be scenic.--Rusf10 (talk) 04:17, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Rusf10: It is an actual term that is well used in the part of Lake Superior from the Twin Ports to the Apostle Islands as you can tell from a Google search. -- Dolotta (talk) 12:35, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- You're going to have to actually provide the sources. I've done a Google search and have found no legitimate sources that use the term.--Rusf10 (talk) 15:08, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- Redirect to Lake Superior; as the kids nowadays say, this seems to be "literally not even, like, a thing". jp×g 06:32, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
- redirect per JPxG. It is a non-notable shoreline, and I'm kinda impressed it has been up since 2007. JackFromWisconsin (talk | contribs) 19:53, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- I just don't understand the need for a redirect when its not a actual term that is used in sources.--Rusf10 (talk) 20:12, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- Agree with Rusf10. The term "South Shore" is never used anywhere, and the redirect would be pointless. If someone searches for "South Shore" and is redirected to Lake Superior, it creates the illusion that the term actually exists and has meaning. —Notorious4life (talk) 05:43, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

- Comment— the term has previously been in use before as part of the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railway, a railroad in operation from 1855 to 1960. Imzadi 1979 → 04:41, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Delete sympathetic as I am—per WP:ATD—towards suggestions of merging, I also see a redirect to a page where the topic is unmentioned as wholly WP:EGGy and doing a disservice to the WP:READER. ——Serial 12:59, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
