Article is not really about the subject, and sources about the subject are not evident. Non-notable columnist, one article he wrote received note, but that's it. Thargor Orlando (talk) 16:04, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep or Merge: His 2012 forecast seems notable even if the author isn't himself. Maybe the article could be renamed after the incident, or merged into a current article on presidential spending? Jonpatterns (talk) 12:30, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Found many news sites where the subject is regularly called upon and quoted about the economy. Triple citations in a row in the article are not necessary and need to be cleaned up. While the article needs work (i went in, did some housekeeping by copyediting and expanding it some but needs more cleanup), he appears to pass WP:GNG based on multiple sources about him (that are not only about the controversy). I will add them to the article. -AuthorAuthor (talk) 07:47, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The notability of a working journalist, like the notability of an academic, is determined by how often their work is cited and discussed by others. Let's face it, biographical profiles of journalists and professors aren't all that common, except when it comes to a relative handful of "big stars". But Nutting's articles have been widely cited, discussed and debated, including in books about the 2012 presidential election. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 05:42, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
