Note This article was previously deleted through AFD. He doesn't have any significant coverage before AAP affiliation. The Social Activism section was deliberately made look like notable; he wasn't known in the Patidar reservation agitation and there is only a passing mention about him before political affiliation. Speedy keep Yes he lost election, so what? We have articles also on Nupur Sharma, Sambit Patra, Supriya Shrinate and more who have also lost elections. This subject meets WP:GNG. There are many sources that have provided significant coverage to this subject. This includes Aaj Tak,[1] News18 India,[2] Navbharat Times [3] and more. Delete: he appears to be a functionary in whatever role he's in. Calling up the minister and complaining doesn't make you notable. Perhaps more as an activist, but what's given is stories about things he's been involved with that are "colourful" more than anything else. Delete: There were virtually no articles on Italia before he joined the AAP and became its chief ministerial face - he was unable to win in his own constituency. After the election, he has disappeared. There have been no articles in the mainstream media about him since April, when he was arrested, meaning he has not been reported for eight months, and it will probably be some time until he will. Keep. While this individual is a failed candidate and probably would fail WP:NPOL if all of the coverage of him were in the context of one election, the coverage of this candidate spans far beyond that; I think that this individual passes WP:NBASIC as a political activist and political party leader, and did so before he ran for public office in 2022. This sort of coverage includes a 2017 article in The Times of India, 2018 piece in The Indian Express, a 2020 piece All Gujarat News, a 2020 piece in The Indian Express, a 2020 piece in Deccan Herald, and a 2021 article The Indian Express. In short, he was notable per WP:NBASIC before he contested an election in 2022, and as notability is not temporary, he continues to be notable after his run in 2022. — Red-tailed hawk _(nest) 04:25, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
