Fails WP:ENTERTAINER. As for the rest of this, it is mind-numbingly non-notable, including the genealogy and the mundane life history. It's hard to see how anybody could think this meets WP notability standards, despite the references. It's important to remember that verifiability is not the same thing as notability. Are you kidding? Mr. Wheaton is a leading entertainment attorney in his field. His company has represented some of the top people in entertainment. He's also produced many regional and international events and is a former board member of BESLA. Mr. Wheaton is also listed in "Who's Who Among African Americans." You'd be hard pressed to find an entertainment executive that has had the depth of experience and recognition that he has. He is clearly notable.Igbo (talk) 18:11, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Neutral. I don't understand why the subject would be judged by the standards of WP:ENTERTAINER when his primary activity is being a lawyer/agent. There are a fair number of Google News Archive hits for his name, but most of them involve his representation of the woman who was revealed to be Strom Thurmond's daughter rather than being primarily about Wheaton himself. In order to establish him as notable, it would be helpful if sources could be presented to show that he meets the general notability guidelines. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:01, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Keep I'll agree that his notability is more in the sports area. His sports accomplishments are very significant. Very few sports agents have represented so many top athletes and produced major sporting events for them. He's worked with Michael Jordan, James Worthy and Flo-Jo among others. Keep One need only see his listing in Who's Who Among African Americans to see just some of his many accomplishments. For many years he was one of the top African American Sports Agents/Attorneys in the field. He's a former board member of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA). He has represented James Worthy and numerous Olympic medalists such as Flo-Jo, Al Joyner and Bob Beamon. He's also produced several sport-related events with Michael Jordan, Milton Berle and Worthy. He has also produced several sports-related television programs including an ESPN special Sports Greats: One on One with David Hartman and The World's Fastest Athlete for ABC's Wide World of Sports. These are just some of sport-related accomplishments. He's also represented many entertainers as well such as Marla Gibbs, Will Wheaton, Norman Connors, Norman Brown and internationally known artists. Of course everyone knows that he represented Strom Thurmond's daughter Essie Mae Washington and her book deal.Igbo (talk) 02:11, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
