- Delete Created eight days too late for April Fools. The first Google hits for European Classic are Barcelona–Manchester United, Benfica–Barcelona, Arsenal–Barcelona and Chelsea–Liverpool. Number 57 14:31, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- Delete - Sounds like a neologism invented by the article creator. No evidence that matches between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are ever referred to as "European Classic" unless something remarkable happens in an individual game that would make it a classic. – PeeJay 14:42, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

- Delete - totally made-up, nobody calls matches between these teams "the European classic" -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 17:19, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

- Keep but rename - I think this rivality is pronounced enough to be mentioned in wikipedia. However, the term European Classic should not be used. I think FC Bayern Munich–Real Madrid C. F. rivalry is a more appropriate solution. • ChryZ MUC 13:25, 14 April 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChryZ MUC (talk • contribs)
- Delete – most arguments have already been mentioned: neologism, original research, notability. The article attempts to justify the existence of a rivalry on statistics alone without thought for context, which is wholly insufficient to judge the notability of a rivalry.
