- strong keep In the itnrest of consistnecy. A fact tag is not equal to deletion. This can very well have cites added (As per all the see also's). Warrants such a page as per Asian Americans and such.(Lihaas (talk) 18:44, 1 August 2010 (UTC));[reply]
- Concept might be fine (although there is no evidence of it)-not one statement can be sourced...Fact after fact is wrong/made up and numbers way off basically impossible two million people in Mexico are "Asian Mexicans"? etc..but anyways..let this go through..pls read talk page before comments .Moxy (talk) 22:36, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Strong delete Irredeemable Wikipedian synthesis. Even if you sourced all the little bits that say "Japanese came in year 19xx and there's x thousand of them, Vietnamese came in year 18xx and there's x thousand of them", there's no evidence for the concept as a whole. In the United States, Yuji Ichioka had to explicitly invent the term "Asian American" before Chinese and Filipinos and (later) South Asians started thinking of themselves as having a common social/political umbrella identity. In Mexico there is no evidence of any such process occurring, and no source has tried to define this term "Asian Mexican" or claim that various disparate immigrant groups are coming together under such a label. cab (call) 00:06, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as synthesis unless evidence can be provided that such a thing as an Asian Mexican identity exists. Cordless Larry (talk) 09:33, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This AfD nomination was incomplete (missing step 3). It is listed now. DumbBOT (talk) 14:58, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Userfy The topic itself is very notable; User:Fernirm is new here, and needs to be aware of the importance of showing the sources for various statements, but there's no reason that this shouldn't be worked on in a user page and then brought back up. Not surprisingly, Chinese immigrants to Mexico didn't get treated any better than those who made their way to the western United States; sources are available to back up an article [1] (Suzanne Oboler, Latinos and citizenship: the dilemma of belonging, Macmillan, 2006, p208), from a Google book search. I suggest userfy rather than a keep, because I assume that Fernirm, as with rest of us, writes in his or her spare time. Needless to say, if other people want to work on this one while it's up, a userfy might not be necessary. Mandsford 15:50, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep or userfy There are other wikipedia articles that have people lumped together by race in which they share no common unity/identity. I will try to get more references and if I have to, re-write the whole article to reflect trust sources and references. I just don't have alot of time, that is the original reason why I only created the article out of copied sentences from other wikipedia articles. However, if some of you guys could try to help me and we'll work together trying to find sources (because I know they are out there) then we can have a good clean Asian Mexican article.--Fernirm (talk) 23:06, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The way to do it is to create a page called "User:Fernirm/Asian Mexican" and then copying your content there. It makes it a lot easier to work on a project as time permits. Mandsford 01:17, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Ok lets move this to Fernirm user page User:Fernirm/Asian Mexican as there is no work being done to fix all the made up figures. There he can re4search and find what is need to have this in main space.Moxy (talk) 20:08, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm hoping some of you guys can help me witht he article, since I barely have any time to work on this page (if I had time, then there wouldn't have been a nomination for deletion in the first place). I'll try to work on it, but some people should help me too. That way, a good clean concensus page for Asian Mexican is created--Fernirm (talk) 23:00, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator note He copy paste moved the article. A histmerge would be good, but I'm not sure how to do one myself. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 01:14, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
