Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with What is this reason for inequality. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 22:38, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
I placed that message in error, and have, I believe, the right to retract it.--Yellow Diamond Δ Direct Line to the Diamonds 22:46, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
Deedeedee Steven
editYou filed the sockpuppet report for ItsMeItsMeItsDeeDeeDee at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Deedeedee_Steven/Archive. However, the archive is for cases that have already been closed. I filed the report where it belongs at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Deedeedee_Steven. Thank you for bringing in attention to this obvious sock; just be sure to file them in the correct place in the future. Happy editing! JDDJS (talk) 05:24, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
Ah, thanks for sorting that out. I really don't know how those areas work. --Yellow Diamond Δ Direct Line to the Diamonds 05:27, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
- If you're using WP:TWINKLE, all you have to do is click on ARV under the TW tab, and simply select sockpuppet as report type and enter the required information and it will file the report for you. If you are not using Twinkle, I highly recommend that you start using it because it has numerous features that simplify a lot of processes while editing. JDDJS (talk) 05:38, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
- I use Twinkle a lot, so that's very helpful. Thanks!--Yellow Diamond Δ Direct Line to the Diamonds 05:42, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
DYK for Kim Chŏn-il
editOn 16 January 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Kim Chŏn-il, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Kim Chŏn-il raised a civilian militia to fight the Japanese invasion during the Imjin War? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Kim Chŏn-il. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Kim Chŏn-il), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
DYK for Kim Seong-il
editOn 18 January 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Kim Seong-il, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Kim Seong-il believed the Japanese invasions of Korea would not take place? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Kim Seong-il), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. I have completed a review and moved the article to the main space. You would do well to learn how to use WP:SFN formatting and WP:Citation templates. See also Help:Shortened footnotes. When you create a reference like [1] and thereafter repeat the reference, it should look like this: [1] You'll need to open up this edit to see how it looks internally. Your repeated use of the article name followed by [1] is not right.
Please don't take this as a criticism. We all have much to learn, and it's a humongous encyclopedia with unlimited possibilities and demands.
Otherwise, well done. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 14:51, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the referencing instructions. I haven't actually read, now that I think about it, any instructions on referencing, I've just opened up other articles and seen how their code worked. Evidently the articles I've emulated were rather imperfect.
- (Also, wasn't Cho Hon already in the main space?)--Yellow Diamond's Pearl (talk) 21:28, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- It was in your drafts, awaiting approval. So I don't think so.
- There is lots of bad reference formatting here. My pleasure to give you some gentle direction. "Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day ... "
- And you should be aware of (and wary of) WP:CITEVAR. Some of our editors get stuck in their rut, and it is a trap for the unwary. I have had mixed reactions in that. I won't bore you with the details (but speaking of bore, I got positive feedback when I fixed the mess at Smith & Wesson.
- And using EFN refs can give your article a whole new dimension. see Yank Levy, for example.
- Best regards. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 21:38, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- I see it had that template, and originally, it was a userspace draft. But it was already in the mainspace, albeit unreviewed, before you edited it. --Yellow Diamond's Pearl (talk) 21:46, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- As to page numbers, the format you added introduced "Harvard errors." You are supposed to be able to click on the link to the book, and it then highlights the book. What you did messed up that function. Also, hypothetically, when you put in [2] You can add in within brackets [URL 392] if you have a URL for the specific page, and this will display as a link to that URL. I apologize for burdening you with too much. But I don't know that many editors know that trick, which I discovered on my own. Best. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 22:00, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Steve Sailer edit
editYellow Diamond Jjc2002 here. As you may have figured out I'm not computer savvy and didn't know how to insert the link to the Steve Sailer article. I'm not ever sure that this is right way to message you. I'd be obliged if you could do it for me.
Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jjc2002 (talk • contribs) 21:47, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
Could you tell me what exactly that site is? I went onto it, deleting the part after ".net" and it looks very low tech - is it an archive?--Yellow Diamond Δ Direct Line to the Diamonds 21:52, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
Yellow Diamond Jjc2002 here. Apologies for not responding sooner, I somehow missed your reply. Yes it is an archive. If you go to Pinker’s homepage at Harvard (https://stevenpinker.com/publications/best-american-science-and-nature-writing) he lists Sailer at a contributor to the book but doesn’t mention the article by name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jjc2002 (talk • contribs) 14:16, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Your signature and linter errors
editJust a reminder that your signature contains obsolete font tags. They create Linter errors, and it is advised that you change your signature to [[User: Yellow Diamond|Yellow Diamond]] <span style="color:yellow;">Δ</span>[[User talk: Yellow Diamond|<small> Direct Line to the Diamonds</small>]]
ASAP.
The purpose of this message is because Linter errors affect the way the page looks, and with a lot of errors, the page may render badly. To reduce Linter errors, please change your signature. See WP:SIGFONT for more info.
If the software doesn't accept my replacement signature, let me know, and if that's the case, unfortunately you may have to change it to something else. Sheep (talk • he/him) 09:45, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- Your replacement seems to work, thanks for creating it.--Yellow Diamond Δ Direct Line to the Diamonds 21:15, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
