Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Scouts Royale Brotherhood, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Central Luzon State University Hymn.ogg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Central Luzon State University Hymn.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available fromWikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with ourcriteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks(talk) 06:21, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Central Luzon State University Hymn.ogg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Central Luzon State University Hymn.ogg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot(talk) 04:31, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Possible project.

edit

There are still a lot of the Philippine Colleges and Universities that have pages (even if stub pages) in tl.wikipedia.org that don't exist in en.wikipedia.org. Creating the equivalent stubs over on en.wikipedia.org would be useful. See List of colleges and universities in the Philippines for the current state... I know that your tendencies may be more toward being a WP:Wikidragon than aWP:Wikignome, but it is perhaps something to think about.Naraht(talk) 10:03, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • I tend to be a Wikignome expect for two things, Alpha Phi Omega and Fraternity/Sorority National Convention lists. OTOH, by creating these stubs, you'll probably have more articles created than I do. :) Also, there is generally enough reference-able information to support a stub for most Colleges and Universities in the Philippines and the stubs tend to naturally write themselves in Neutral Point of View.Naraht (talk) 21:27, 16 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I was advised months ago to put my tons of images in the gallery of show and hide. I share the sentiment of yours, that I put to many images, when the article is barely on its better state of expansion, with just few links and very few sentences, stubs, so to speak. Hence, I opted to put these precious images of heritage districts and churches in Wikipedia hide and show gallery. I know that this style for imagery is very detrimental to those Filipinos who are not so keen or knowledgeable about internet, like the old horses, the professionals who use manual typewriters. But most of my edits or rather 70% of them use the show image gallery, too many images. I am not offended if any editor would edit my images, for I know that I am only 1 of the editors of the evolving articles. Cheers and thanks for your thoughts that I learned to improve Wikipedia imaging (See for example TheMetropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando Image Gallery). Cheers again.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 08:42, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Philippine Colleges and Universities

edit

Given your specialty and your knowledge, you might consider working on adding Philippine Colleges and Universities to the English Language Wikipedia. My belief is that most if not all schools in[1] that aren't already in Category:Universities_and_colleges_in_the_Philippines should be added to the English Language wikipedia (and the category). Examples include:Guzman College of Science and Technology , Saint Peter's College , and Philippine Al-Islamia. Naraht (talk) 14:39, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Trimmed down the history (especially the non-non neutral poiont of view stuff), it was a Copyright violation in the form it was ofhttp://www.guzmancollege.edu.ph/about_us.html. There are still some places where it doesn't seem quite encyclopedic. Take a look at Far Eastern University. That might serve as a model/goal. I know that most articles on Philippine Universities won't be that complete, though. But *trust* me, both GCST & and St. Peter's are good starts and others will add to the articles.Naraht (talk) 16:37, 29 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Guzman College of Science and Technology, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Filipino(check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Ese Te Ese

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ese Te Ese requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administratoruserfy the page or email a copy to you. reddogsix (talk) 11:47, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

MyJobMatcher page

edit

Hello WakoWako

Thanks for your message and my apologies for having content that seems to be promotional. My profession and expertise is in the online recruitment, job board and employment website space. Reading the content currently written on Wikipedia their is an awful lot of information that needs improving and adding which I would like to become trusted with to take ownership off and managing building up an accurate information base for this area.

If you allow me I will continue to add to the MyJobMatcher page and add other pages, improving content of some of the existing information written. However I will admit I am still getting my head around the way Wiki works and the methodology of including the information.

Many thanks

Page curation

edit

Hi Wakowako! I've come across a few of the recent articles you have patrolled and wanted to touch bases on a couple of things. Specifically, you commented at User talk:Lkayblkayb, that you had concerns with a lack of notability and had identified some issues through some maintenance templates. Unfortunately, there is a bit of inconsistency with some guidelines, so I just wanted to offer some help. Page curation is our first line of defense against unwanted pages or for improvement of poorly written or constructed pages and it must be done accurately. It is not only important to identify issues, but equally important to fix the most outstanding ones. When you place an "unreferenced" template on an article, I think you may actually be looking for the "no footnotes" template. For example, take a look at Mary Weston Fordham. It would have been rather simple to make a quick cleanup and restructuring here. Even add a category. While there is a lack of footnotes, or inline citations, there are actually four references provided in this article. Poorly formatted, it would have taken less than a minute to clean this up. You mention at User talk:Lkayblkayb that there is no evidence of notability, but the article clearly establishes notability in accordance with the general notability guidelines, or WP:BIO. Hope this helps. Your work is certainly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me anytime you need help or have any questions. (No, really!) Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 10:57, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've also noticed you've tagged several articles with the {{autobiography}} template when there was no clear evidence of such (Alexander Perceval (merchant), for example, is a deceased person). If the username of the editor is a close match to the name of the article's subject, then that's stronger evidence of an autobiography or a conflict of interest. If you tag the article, you should also leave a warning notice ({{uw-autobiography}},{{uw-coi}} or {{uw-coi-username}}, whichever is most appropriate) on the editor's talk page. Cheers. --Drm310 (talk) 21:23, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Wakowako! Yes, I am curious about your reason for un-reviewing the page William Dixson, if you wouldn't mind providing a brief explanation. Was it an issue with its categories? Cheers! Zujua (talk) 07:30, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

A1

edit

Hi! I recently declined your tagging with A1 because the criteria is not eligible for the article. A1 (no context) only applies if the article has no contexts to define its subject (e.g. "He is a funny man with a red car. He makes people laugh"). Please see WP:CSD orWP:A1 for more info and please be more careful. Have a nice day! Maraming Salamat Po! :)Mediran talk to me! 09:42, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Not accepted, the article has no context at all.

New Page Patrolling

edit

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. Please return to Israelites and the Cow, a page that you recently patrolled and tagged but did not check for obvious WP:COPYVIO. I appreciate your enthusiasm to jump right and help maintain the quality of our articles, but as other editors have expressed concerns about your patrolling, I am asking you to stop patrolling pages until you have read and fully understood WP:Deletion and the patrollers' tutorial at WP:NPP.
