Proposed deletion of John P. Richmond

edit

The article John P. Richmond has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article only referencing Ancestry.com, which is not a Reliable source

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 2019 US Banknote Contest

edit
  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Southern Tang, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Later Jin. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:37, 18 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ref errors in Southern Tang

edit

Thank you for your work expanding the article! However, there are numerous issues with the short references. I fixed a couple, but can you help with others? You can highlight the errors by copy and pasting importScript('User:Svick/HarvErrors.js'); // Backlink: [[User:Svick/HarvErrors.js]] to your common.js page.

  • "Kurz 2016a" and "Kurz 2016b" -> the a and b should also be added to the year in the full cite in the bibliography section. Right now, it is unclear which work is cited where.
  • "Kurz 2011" can refer to either of two works by this author: China's Southern Tang Dynasty (937-976) or Han Xizai (902–970): An Eccentric Life in Exciting Times. Can you add "a" and "b" to the years to differentiate (both in short citations and in the full citation)?
  • There was no work listed under "Chao-Yin 2018" but I assumed it is the same as "Cho-ying 2018". Please correct if that's wrong.
  • There is no work listed for "Kote 1999"
  • There is no work listed for "Ling, vol. 20."

Same errors carried to Southern Tang campaign against Chu -- "Kurz 2016a" and "Kote 1999".

Bernhard Eduardovich Petri

edit

Hi Voltaire's Vaquero. You've added "Petri 1927" and "'Petri 1928" to Bernhard Eduardovich Petri, which don't link to any specific cite. The article contains cites for Petri 1927a to 1927c and Petri 1928a to 1928f, so I'm unable to fix the issue. Could you correct it or let me know which cite it should be. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 17:14, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

My apologies, it appears I didn't add the correct citations to the bibliography. Thanks for the catch! Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 18:18, 14 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you've contributed a lot to Yakut shamanism, would you be interested in a taskforce on oral tradition? Kowal2701 (talk) 09:57, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sure thing! Sorry for the delayed response. I will have some time to expand out articles related to the Sakha peoples over these upcoming winter months. While I am able to access materials in Russian on the Sakha, it'd help to have a fluent Russian speaker (Sakha, too, obviously!) to make sense of the sometimes jumbled translations I get. Cheers!
