Question from Jcszymczak on Stanislaus Zbyszko (17:50, 6 October 2024)

edit

Hi, I'm new to editing and adding citations. I'm attempting to edit a profile for Stanisław Jan Cyganiewicz. I have new information on his date of birth, but I'm unfamiliar with how to make it hold and add a citation. I'm a Wikitree user, and this is very similar, but not exactly. I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

Hi, @Jcszymczak; welcome to Wikipedia! It seems that you've successfully edited the page to this updated date, but you haven't cited the source that provides this updated information. All content on Wikipedia must be supported by reliable sources, so I would encourage you to add the source that provides this information. Hi, @CallieJWilson; welcome to Wikipedia! It looks like you've figured out how to make the edit. Just for reference, you can edit the page by clicking any of the "edit" buttons; the topmost button, in the page header, will let you edit the entire page, and the buttons in each section header will let you edit their specific sections.
