Speedy deletion nomination of European Youth Orienteering Championships

edit

Hello Spiralwidget,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged European Youth Orienteering Championships for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Ways to improve Kristiansand OK

edit

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Spiralwidget, thanks for creating Kristiansand OK!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This article needs more references to substantial coverage in independent, reliable sources. Please avoid sources like press releases, the subject's own website, sports statistics sites and routine announcements.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Georg Fritze, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Halle and Emil Fuchs (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Ground level enhancement, from its old location at User:Spiralwidget/Ground Level Enhancement. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. -Liancetalk/contribs 16:07, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Kurdistani Party moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Kurdistani Party, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Julie Minns

edit

With regard to you reversion of my IP edit at Julie Minns, I wanted to let you know that I have reverted back. This is because the edit addressed incorrectly referenced items. Information about Minns' parents was referenced to this News and Star piece [1] and the fact she stepped down as a Councillor in Lambeth to care for her daughter to this Labour List piece [2]. Neither of these pieces contain that information. It is only found on her own website [3], which is self-pub, but acceptable enough for basic biographical info. I also added archiving, and cleaned up dates. I have therefore reinstated for accuracy. If you are concerned about the removals in the Parliamentary Career section, these would be better addressed in a separate edit, so as not to lose the corrections made. Hope that all makes sense! 2A00:23C8:2C85:5F01:8076:59B9:D8DC:189E (talk) 13:57, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

We differ in our view on this article, which is fine. I was impressed with, but don't agree with, your careful analysis for declining the draft.

Our acceptance criteria are looser than you might expect. All we have to have is a firm belief that the draft has better than 50% probability of surviving an immediate deletion process. You're an experienced editor, and I can see why you are striving for better than that. We all do when we start AFC reviews. The thing is, we are individuals, and have but a single opinion. We need to bite the bullet and pass the task of pretty much asking the community to review our acceptances.

I felt you deserved to know why I accepted the identical draft to the one you declined. Most important, I do not guarantee to be right. We are each of us only as good as our most recent review, and the community, while it sometimes reaches bizarre consensus is likely to be better than either of us. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:39, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
