Wrong rankings

edit

The rankings you added to Historical rankings of Presidents of the United States and Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/USPC Presidential Rankings are not what you believe them to be. They are Siena college rankings not USPC ones. I've added archives and links to the first article to confirm this. Or see http://web.archive.org/web/20120511165919/http://americas.sas.ac.uk/research/survey/presidents.htm and http://web.archive.org/web/20120419031350/http://americas.sas.ac.uk/research/survey/overall.htm vs http://www.siena.edu/uploadedfiles/home/parents_and_community/community_page/sri/independent_research/Presidents 2010 Rank by Category.pdf . St Crispin's Day Speech

edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of St Crispin's Day Speech, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://oldpoetry.com/William_Shakespeare/8449463-St_Crispins_Day_Speech_from_Henry_V.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 06:00, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of St Crispin's Day Speech

edit

The article St Crispin's Day Speech has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This page consists entirely of the text of a monologue from Henry V—it is not an encyclopedic article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Mr. Granger (talk · contribs) 02:44, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Escher Curve

edit

The article Escher Curve has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This term appears completely non-notable. The only source is someone's opinion on a discussion forum. Beyond the bare use of the term, no assertions in the article are sourced. The tone of the original forum post also strongly suggests that the article is concealing a significant bias in the use of the term.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of TFTSTHAN

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on TFTSTHAN requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Names and pronouns of transgender and nonbinary people

edit

Regarding your edits to Inception, please be aware that, per Wikipedia's guidelines on referring to transgender and nonbinary people, we use someone's current name, not the name they had at the time a film came out, unless they request otherwise. Instead, there is a footnote there explaining what Page's name was at the time. If you have any questions about the implementation of that guideline, it's best to bring them up on the article's talkpage. -- Tamzin (she/they) | o toki tawa mi. 16:26, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for this. I figured the fastest way to learn the policy was to Edit the page! I was right. Septimus.stevens (talk) 21:13, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well if you have any other policy questions in the future, feel free to let me know, either on my talkpage or by using {{ping|Tamzin}} here. Also, not sure if you meant to do this or not, but please don't edit other users' comments. Thanks. :) -- Tamzin (she/they) | o toki tawa mi. 21:33, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
