License tagging for File:Once more.png
editThanks for uploading File:Once more.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Quoll range map.png
editThanks for uploading File:Quoll range map.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Armbrust Talk to me about my editsreview 15:15, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Award
editThe WikiPen
For the courage to admit that you were wrong and the strength to fix your errors, I am awarding you this WikiPen. Many others have taken a revelation such as this and argued or ran away leaving someone else to fix the issue. Cheers Guerillero | My Talk 19:58, 7 November 2011 (UTC) |
Thank you so much! :)--Savetheoceans (talk) 20:50, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Excellent
editCongratulations, you are setting an excellent example for the others. If you actively engage, others will assist. Your collaboration component for your portfolio will serve you well. Unfortunately, for many of the others, you are destroying any excuses they may have for their stagnation. There is a learning curve here, yours seems exponential - a good thing since it is a challenging road to FA. Follow-up on the peer review and hopefully there will be a general agreement to submit for GA. --JimmyButler (talk) 23:59, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
Why thank you! Malleus says that it will probably be ready for GA this weekend. I am having quite a bit of trouble with one of the peer review comments. I can't figure out at is American English or British English, so that might hold me back. I don't want to steal all of the glory as Marissa's article is almost identical to mine! :) --Savetheoceans (talk) 00:13, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
You Rock
editPretty Flowers For Savannah Award | |
I thought these flowers were pretty and you ROCK because the Quoll is going to GA, baby! :D How exciting! Darby0341 (talk) 21:24, 14 November 2011 (UTC) |
- Without meaning to rain on your parade, GAN will be a big ask; the job ain't done 'til it's done. I think the article has a good chance, but only if you keep on top of the review. Malleus Fatuorum 21:37, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Will do! :)
congratulations!

Educational Gain from the Wikipedia Project
editAs all of you who bother to read my user or talk page know, I am getting graded on my Wikipedia experience. To highlight the educational gain of this project, I was asked to put a list of things I learned from this project including but not limited to: grammar from copy edits and software use. So here it is:
- I learned how to use Wikipedia
- correct citation of journals, websites, etc. diff
- what is a reliable source diff
- how to write good captions diff
- active voice diff
- are vs. is diff
- how to do conversions diff
- No more redundancy diff
- complicated singular vs. plural diff
- Don't put refs in lead diff
- How to make a range map (Jacob Springfield helped me)
- Flickr copyright laws (Marissa Helped me)
- spaces between sentence and ref tag diff
-Thank you to all the people who helped me with this project Savetheoceans (talk) 14:37, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
- I can't help myself not to give advice. I think it will impress your teacher if you organize this list. People have a hard time reading long lists ("laundry lists"). They want some sort of structure to make it easier on them. I would group this into a few categories (think of some, maybe technical aspects of Wiki, philosophy of Wiki, biological, research writing...not pushing those, just a few that jumped to mind). Make it so that the number of subelements is 2-7 or so. Then organize the order pf each category with some rationale (importance?). Even just the work of moving stuff around into more of a hierarchical structure will help you think about the topic and how the pieces go together. Again...great work on Quoall...and sorry if this is too much suggestion...can't help myself not to coach!TCO (talk) 21:58, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

editCongrats on the achievement with the native cat of Australia. You took the initiative. You got some great help. But help flows to those who contribute content.
Congrats again.

Sex-determination system Review
editHello fellow class member! :) I noticed that you had said that you wanted to continue on editing Wikipedia with the Quoll. I would like to get my article, Sex Determination system, to at least GA even though the grade is done. So I was wondering, since you've already experienced GA, if you could do a look through my article to fix any awkward sentences or obvious grammar? I was thinking about submitting it later to see if Mr. Butler will review it, whenever he has time. If you could help any, that would be great! And if you really are planning on taking the Quoll to the next level, I'd be happy to help you whenever you need. :) Thanks! Phorofor (talk) 03:25, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
