Babymetal Userbox

BABYMETAL. Kitsune up!

Pete, I learned about your Babymetal userbox over at the Reddit board (where I use a different screen name) and you can see it proudly on my user page here. Have you promoted that box on the Talk pages for the Babymetal, Su, Yui, and Moa articles? You may get more response if you keep it low-key and professional. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 14:57, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Doomsday, thanks for the idea! Not sure it's allowed to promote the box in the talk pages, but I did it anyway. :) PetéWarrior 08:36, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Band-Maid

Hello, nice to meet you.

I'm Hatto0467 from Japan.

You uploaded Miku Kobato of Band-Maid picture.

I knew that you are from Indonesia.

Band-Maid article in Indonesian wikipedia exists.

If you are no problem, would you improve and expand their article in Indonesian wikipedia because of the short article? --Hatto0467 (talk) 15:21, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Recent edits to Yūka Sugai

edit

I saw your edits to the infobox in Yūka Sugai earlier, and while I don't doubt that they're true, do you have sources for the information? I'm asking just because this is a BLP article.   Ganbaruby!  (talk to me) 19:47, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I took the info from a source already referred to in the article. I've added the citations in the infobox. PetéWarrior 01:30, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the edit. I'm having trouble finding a reliable source that Sugai graduated from Gakushuin University, since all the "evidence" comes from a picture or a Facebook post, so I've removed that one. I also can't find her supposed 1st place finish at the 2017 East Kanto Equestrian Competition. Modelpress mentions a first place finish, but doesn't specify which competition she placed in, and the records from the JEF end at 2014. Feel free to add those in if a source is found.   Ganbaruby!  (remember to ping!) 03:16, 5 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Mikiko (choreographer)

edit

Hi Petewarrior, I'm Netherzone, I reviewed your article on the choreographer Mikiko who I found to be very interesting.

Unfortunately, I also found that a lot of the language in the article was promotional in tone. I've changed some of the wording, and I found two sources in English that support the claim in the DYK hook.

I also wanted you to know that I placed a maintenance tag on it because several of the sources in Japanese are primary sources, and we require secondary or tertiary sources WP:RS. You seem to be quite familiar with her work, so I was wondering if you could find some secondary sources to replace the primary sources that are user-submitted, blog posts, or sourced to her or the websites of the bands she works with. Primary sources (and sometimes even interviews) are considered Original Research, which is frowned upon for substantiating claims in the encyclopedia. See here for more info on secondary sources:[1] Once more secondary sources are found, I will remove the tag. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! It is good to meet you here, we have several interests in common! Netherzone (talk) 21:04, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Added a ping to notify editor @Petewarrior: --- Netherzone (talk) 21:05, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi Netherzone, nice to meet you too. Thanks a lot for your help, especially in streamlining the prose. It seems like most of the primary sources have been replaced with more reliable ones now, except for claims about Mikiko's job title and work status. I'll keep adding better sources when I found them. PetéWarrior (talk) 06:01, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Petewarrior, Thanks for getting back to me, I will have a look at the article, and also keep an eye on it as it moves through the DYK process (which can take a long time). If I find other sources that can further improve it I will add them.
It would be really nice if the article had a photograph, but it must be copyright-free. All best to you, Netherzone (talk) 16:28, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, it'd be great if you can gather sources that establish their notability first (especially individual work). Maybe I can help you with the writing after that.
It seems that Ayaka is leaving showbiz soon, though. It might be better to start an article about someone who's likely to stay longer. PetéWarrior (talk) 15:43, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

You can make as many as you like as long as you can establish her notability. Basically, reliable sources have to significantly cover her and/or her work (e.g. find several entire articles devoted to her not written by management), check WP:NMUSIC for more info. After that, go to WP:DRAFT#Creating_and_editing_drafts to start a draft and put the links there. PetéWarrior (talk) 12:08, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi!

May I ask you, why did you remove my edit about one-cut in STU48 Kaze wo matsu video? Thanks UTF48 (talk) 08:52, 1 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
First of all, thank you for contributing to an article related to STU48. The Japanese word for long take was unnecessary since it's not something unique to Japan and the English term is adequate. I personally enjoy the tidbit about the missing cable, but unfortunately it also didn't seem to qualify for inclusion per Wikipedia:HTRIVIA. In any case, such additional information is more appropriate as an explanatory footnote instead of a citation, which is meant for citing sources. PetéWarrior (talk) 05:12, 2 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Lovemuhcko. Why don't you create a draft article first and I'll help expand it later? PetéWarrior (talk) 12:22, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

BEAT MONSTER 726 (talk) 00:43, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

PetéWarrior (talk) 11:41, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
PetéWarrior (talk) 12:16, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
PetéWarrior (talk) 12:50, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
--BEAT MONSTER 726 (talk) 08:03, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
PetéWarrior (talk) 11:25, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
