Hi Naomi, I just saw your message about whether I had completed the class project. You did send me an email telling me that you had my assignment down as being completed? (Rmwillis5 (talk) 15:16, 10 February 2016 (UTC))
Class project?
editHi Nmuggleton, are you leading a class project in Wikipedia? Please let me know. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 23:28, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm, this does look to be a class project situation. hopefully @Nmuggleton: will clarify.--Kevmin § 14:05, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi both - yes there is a class project, for which I am assisting. However I am not the course leader. We are in communication with a Wiki rep, who has helped us to set up the outreach page, design assignments, etc. 137.205.220.186 (talk) 14:30, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Can you please instruct your students that they shouldn't draft articles in the talk pages of the main space? I have just moved two empty "articles" where the work was being done on the talk page to our Draft namespace, which is better for such purposes. E.g. Draft:Dual Sexuality instead of Dual Sexuality (that page should end up at Dual sexuality, with change in capitalisation, eventually). Thanks! Fram (talk) 12:31, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
Drafting on user talk pages is also problematic. See the conversation I have been having at User talk:Ljccrim. Drafts are best created either in the draft namespace, or in the user's own sandbox. When a draft is ready, it should be moved using the WP:MOVE functionality. Do not copy and paste, as some of your students have been doing with drafts, because this causes licensing problems, particularly if more than one person has been editing the draft. (:) Thank you @Spinningspark: - I will raise this with students in our seminar this week. Nmuggleton (talk) 10:08, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
