Proposed deletion of Kummitusjuna

edit

The article Kummitusjuna has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NALBUM

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. @Walter Görlitz: Regarding both the pages Iankaikkinen and Kummitusjuna, I believe that both pages can be deleted or redirected. Yes, they both absolutely fall short of album and notability guidelines, in a way that is hard to rectify for either page. Thanks for bringing these to my attention. Your draft article, Draft:Ever (IQ album)

edit

Hello, Mungo Kitsch. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Ever".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. CptViraj (📧) 03:06, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@CptViraj: I appreciate you letting me know. One thing I will say is that I did not move it to the draft space; another user must have. As you may see with my histories of recent created pages such as Anika Nilles, The Firefly (2015 film) and Serpentcult, I did not have them in any draft space before deciding to submit them (I incubated them in my sandbox), and doing so would go against my standard protocol of creating articles. Also, I am fine with your decision to speedy delete the page you brought to my attention, as I had no particular plans for it. Thanks. Mungo Kitsch (talk) 05:32, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the note. Happy Editing. -- CptViraj (📧) 06:13, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Curiosity regarding Alison Haislip article

edit

Note: the following first message was originally posted on User talk:Steam5. The thereafter responses were posted here.

Hi. I was wondering why you have, on a long-term basis, made so many minor tweaks of wording on the Alison Haislip page, such as this, this, this, and this, among many other examples. You have also reverted some of your own edits, as you did here.

I recognize and respect that there may be one or more reasons why you are doing them that I am not privy to. But many of them appear, to me, as test edits, which are not accepted by Wikipedia outside of sandbox spaces or one's own user page(s) (they might be acceptable on draft pages). Many of the edits come off to me as non-essential word tweaks with under 10 pixels of difference, which do not, in any great regard, change what is being stated. Your lack of explanation in edit summaries does not help, either.

Your Haislip edits show up quite often in my watchlist. If you were reverting vandalism or expanding content with references in tow, I would understand. But considering the nature of the edits, I opine that they have become distracting.

And since I may not be the best person to analyze this editing behavior, I hope you would not be offended if I sought outside opinion here. If I do, I will make sure you know what I post where, so that you can fairly weigh in on the matter.

Let me know what your answer is on this page.

All the best,

Mungo Kitsch (talk) 03:52, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Answer to Alison Haislip article (and apology)

edit

Hi, the answer to editing is the correct sentencing and my mistakable edits by undoing for my previous version. Previously, I clean up vandalism from IP adresses into its previous version on some articles. Do not warn me on this and I never make disruptive edits or vandalism. Remember the administrator told me when I was upset "we're all in your computer screens". I will continue read the article before I edit and I sometimes change URL addresses into HTTPS for it's citation sources. I apologize an I will continue as a Wikipedian and I will read the article first before I edit. Today, I will take a 24 hour break while I send you my message to you. I will try to do better than that next time by read the article first before I edit. Thanks for your time. All the best. Steam5 (talk) 01:42, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate you taking the time to respond, as well as for heeding my critique. With that said, I will continue to keep the Alison Haislip page on my watchlist, and will therefore monitor the situation furthermore. (I'm not sure if you know this, but I created the article back in 2008, and still have a special spot for it.) That's all from me, at this time. Mungo Kitsch (talk) 03:49, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Brogo13: I appreciate your input. I am not accustomed to seeing pictures without captions, with the exception of album cover images in infoboxes. However, I will not insist on the fact that all should have captions, and I see the argument brought forth by the MoS page you linked. Request for input regarding bands labeled as NSBM

edit

Thank you for your edits on Drudkh. A lot of these articles have been subject to blanket removals of cited content and I've gotten really frustrated. Would you be willing to give your input on the issue of bands controversially labeled as NSBM? Link is here.--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 04:18, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for all your input and for working out compromises on this issue. Can you take a look at Khors as well? It looks like the edit dispute is starting up all over again, despite the RfC, and I don't want to edit war. Thanks.--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 15:17, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hey, 3family6. I wanted to let you know that I did the one edit to the Khors page, but it was not relevant to the NSBM designation. I have not been hot on the page partially because I have a few real-life distractions, the main one right now being that I am geographically relocating this week. Once that all gets settled, though, I will give the Khors page and band a more fair look in the regard that you requested. Thanks. Mungo Kitsch (talk) 03:34, 13 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Of course, take your time!

'Six and Six' album cover

edit

The photo of Robert Johnson that resembles the cover of 'Six and Six' is this one. The composition looks practically identical to me, except for the guitar obviously. But I agree the point has no place in the article and you were right to zap it. --Viennese Waltz 08:20, 18 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Viennese Waltz: You make a good point. I did come across that picture in my cursory image search, and while they are extremely similar, I was not sure of the encyclopedic value of those statements (unless if echoed, of course by one or more reliable sources).
I definitely appreciate your feedback, and I do appreciate that you are watching/monitoring the Six and Six page. My intentions are to contribute to, and put on my watchlist, more Jandek-related pages, because he is a musician that strongly inspires me and my ethos toward music. I like to think that he is more "punk" than most actual punk rockers! Let me know if you need anything Wiki-wise. Mungo Kitsch (talk) 02:43, 19 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Chase Iron Eyes

edit

You claim you edited the article to be “neutral” but your edit contains nothing but repulsive and now debunked claims of grooming and abuse made by Iron Eyes and Jumpjng Eagle, and you hid Chase’s own convictions. You are displaying a massive bias, whereas I edited the article to show Tokata’s justified rebuttal of her father’s media extortion scam. You failed to mention the court was a tribal court with no jurisdiction over Ezra Miller, you made it sound like a trial, which it wasn’t. Chase never reported his false claims to any federal authority, so why did you remove my efit stating this fact? You’re trying to give chase immunity from scrutiny, and misinform the public, but wikipedia is supposed to be neutral. I know the people involved in the Ezra Miller tabloid saga, and publishing only Chase’s slander is libellous. RedEyeKav (talk) 12:34, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
