How do I upload an image to the left of text? and how do I get wikipedia people to critique the article I wrote Msteilen 23:44, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

You can post your article at WP:RFC. As for searches, Wikipedia admins will unpredictably update the database from time to time, so it's hard to know when your article will show up. Be patient, though, and remember, we don't write biographies for Google, but for the general public. Thanks, and happy editing. Xiner (talk, email) 14:56, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
== Image:Carosair.JPG listed for deletion ==
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Carosair.JPG has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. —Pilotguy (radio check) 01:55, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Caroline Graeff

edit

Hi. You recently removed the wikification, category and sourcing tags from this article because you weren't done with it. However, Wikipedia has a style manual that governs how articles are written, and that's why the tag is there, to let everyone know that it still needs style corrections. Likewise, articles on Wikipedia need to have reliable sources to verify assertions. It also needs categories so that other people can find articles similar to this one.

These tags help people know what still needs to be done on the article, so please don't remove them unless you address the issues for the tag. Otherwise, someone else can find the tag and help with the article. ColourBurst 03:51, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Msteilen! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 12 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Caroline Graeff - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of Caroline Graeff

edit

The article Caroline Graeff has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The subject is a retired non notable snowboarder

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stormbay (talk) 21:32, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
