Helping with Version 1.0 listing
editHi, thanks for your reply! Someone from the Judaism project has very kindly added some articles and assessments to the Judaism project table, you are most welcome to add a few more key articles. If you are interested in doing more, then perhaps you could see if others at the project would support using the assessment tags on talk pages? This approach is proving very popular because of the bot-generated tables and log, though among religious projects so far only Wikipedia:WikiProject_Catholicism is using it, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Catholicism/Assessment. Please let me know if I can help. Thanks, Walkerma 06:10, 19 August 2006 (UTC) Articles like Kibbutz probably belong with a listing for either WikiProject:Israel or an Israeli Regional Notice Board, whichever is the main coordinating body for articles on Israel. As yet we don't have a table set up for these, though we will get there eventually! Thanks, Walkerma 06:28, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Incomplete edit?
editHi, your recent edit in JFJ left the phrase these "indications" dangling out of context. Just FYI. Thanks. ←Humus sapiens ну? 01:23, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Userboxes
editHi Masterhomer: FYI, the userbox you use, {{User WP Israel}}, now signifies participation in Wikipedia:WikiProject Israel. I took the liberty to change it to {{User Portal:Israel}}. It was I who made both decisions to name/rename, so I am the one to blame for the confusion. ←Humus sapiens ну? 22:21, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Collaboration notices
editHi Masterhomer. Collaboration notices should go on the talk pages, not article pages. The expansion tag is for article space. Thanks. --Fang Aili talk 17:09, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm.. well I notice that some of the collaboration articles do have tags in article space, some don't. And the instructions do say to put the notice on the talk pages. It seems weird to me to put a collaboration notice on an article, but maybe that's just me. At least, we shouldn't have both the collaboration and the expand tags there. Anyways, I won't argue with you about it. :) Good luck on the article. I tried to do a little internet research but there's not much there (about 160 unique G hits). Cheers, Fang Aili talk 17:46, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Template:JCu
editA tag has been placed on Template:JCu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>

Genesis, and all that
editI popped into that article you pointed out, and I mostly see a big mess. The creationists apparently don't like "myth" and the mythologists apparently don't like anything else. There's no collaboration going on there. I really don't have a stake either way. At first I was in favor of the "myth" title until I saw that it was destroying collaboration over there -- and at least one editor had an agenda with the title. I think they should scratch all the titles and come up with one that most editors can live with. But that would take collaboration.EGMichaels (talk) 10:21, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Needed Consensus on the Genesis creation myth page
editBeing a latecomer to the article, I'm unclear exactly who is committed to the article and what they are committed to. I've heard a good deal from those in favor of the "myth" title, but not so much from those opposed. Eactly WHAT would be needed for a consensus title before you would be comfortable making improvements to the article? Please let me know on my talk page. Thanks.EGMichaels (talk) 12:24, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Mediation Case
editA request for formal mediation of the dispute concerning Genesis Creation Myth has been filed with the Mediation Committee (MedCom). You have been named as a party in this request. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Genesis Creation Myth and then indicate in the "Party agreement" section whether you would agree to participate in the mediation or not.
Mediation is a process where a group of editors in disagreement over matters of article content are guided through discussing the issues of the dispute (and towards developing a resolution) by an uninvolved editor experienced with handling disputes (the mediator). The process is voluntary and is designed for parties who disagree in good faith and who share a common desire to resolve their differences. Further information on the MedCom is at Wikipedia:Mediation Committee; the policy the Committee will work by whilst handling your dispute is at Wikipedia:Mediation Committee/Policy; further information on Wikipedia's policy on resolving disagreements is at Wikipedia:Resolving disputes.
If you would be willing to participate in the mediation of this dispute but wish for its scope to be adjusted then you may propose on the case talk page amendments or additions to the list of issues to be mediated. Any queries or concerns that you have may be directed to an active mediator of the Committee or by e-mailing the MedCom's private mailing list (click here for details).
Please indicate on the case page your agreement to participate in the mediation within seven days of the request's submission.
Speedy deletion nomination of Magnolia Audio Video
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Magnolia Audio Video, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Guy (Help!) 21:32, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
editHello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:53, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

PGP-Key
editHello Masterhomer,
you tell us on your user-page that you have a PGP-key, but you don’t provide it. Could you please use a pgp-template with an ID-field (like Template:User PGP)? Also it would be great if you could send me your key-ID by wiki-mail or leave it on my talk-page. Thanks :-). --DaB. (talk) 14:21, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
The article Yonatan ben Yosef has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- (Accidental) hoax. See sources for Pikuach nefesh - the concept dates to the Mishna, not to after 696, and the "Yonatan ben Yosef" is not the same as the real Yonatan ben Yosef (fl. 2nd century CE) in any case.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 22:26, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
- Never mind. Redirected to Rabbi Jonathan (who did not live in 696) who is the author of one rational for Pikuach nefesh, though not the inventor of the concept. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 18:02, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Nomination of Open Source Judaism for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article Open Source Judaism is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Open Source Judaism (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. JudeccaXIII (talk) 22:07, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 10:05, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
