Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Marcellus38! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Keith Coster - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Maritzburg College

edit

Hey there ... I think your re-write addressed much of the "tussle" that the section of the article was suffering from. It would be balanced to address the fact that the traditions system (such as fagging) is not without its criticisms (it certainly came up enough times when I was a boarder there), but there aren't sufficient sources to include it in the article; as it stands, it's in a better state than it was a few weeks back!

Keep up the good work!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Maritzburg College, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Miller (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

December 2022

edit

Hi Marcellus38! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Maritzburg College that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Archer1234 (talk) 10:40, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, Archer. I shall bear that in mind. I have been away from Wiki edits for some years, so am very rusty. I'd appreciate your assistance in updating this page, which had got quite out-of-date. I have made other edits that I have marked as "minor" - but clearly are not. That I will correct, in the future. My pressing issue is that I deleted a small element of code, that has meant that the "information box" for the school is no longer functional. How does one recreate that "information box"? Cheers Marcellus38 (talk) 06:17, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
