Proposed deletion of Dinner with Schmucks
editThe article Dinner with Schmucks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Upcoming film, and since the cast is only rumored, principal photography has obviously not begun.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 18:35, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

The Pink Panther 2
editPlease refrain from changing the order of film cast listings without a valid reason, as you have done in The Pink Panther 2; the cast had been listed in conformity with the official credits. I have reverted your edit. Thank you. Hertz1888 (talk) 06:30, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Hardwired (film), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://movamba.com/movie/hardwired/gqgiqa. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:38, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead.
Using detailed edit summaries is the best way to ensure that your good faith edits are not reverted by recent changes patrollers or other wikieditors. Thanks and happy editing!
Film Infobox Template
editHello. I've noticed that you've added qualifiers such as "and" and "with" to the cast section of the infoboxes a few times lately. I understand this is how the actors are listed in the movies' credits themselves, but for our purposes here, that information is unnecessary. Here are the guidelines for using the film infoboxes; I hope it helps with your future efforts. Happy editing! Millahnna (mouse)talk 08:59, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
April 2010
editYour addition to The Butcher (2009 film) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please take a look at your other articles and remove all the copyrighted material that you have lifted from other websites. Steamroller Assault (talk) 19:59, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Film Infobox Starring section
editAgain, please don't put "and," "with," or other similar descriptors in the starring section of infoboxes on film articles. As I said before, I understand this is how the cast is listed in the movie's actual credits but we do not include them on wikipedia for style reasons. Millahnna (mouse)talk 03:55, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Stranger (2010 film)
editA tag has been placed on The Stranger (2010 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:30, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

I left a redirect so anyone looking for it will be taken to Stone Cold Steve Austin#Film. If you would like to start an article based on but not copied from reliable sources, please click here. - Also please read WP:NFF and WP:TOOSOON. Further, please note that IMDb is NOT a reliable source as it is user edited just like Wikipedia.[1] It's never accepted as a reliable source and you should not build articles based on IMDb. Base the articles on reliable sources like The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, etc, just as I did for you here. I know it's more time consuming than copy and pasting contents from IMDb, but that's what building an encyclopedia consists of -- researching. Thanks. —Mike Allen 05:44, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Allen Weh US Senate.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Allen Weh US Senate.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:54, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
