Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Laurent Robert has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Steve Watson. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Steve Watson was changed by LRD NO (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.952334 on 2014-02-14T14:04:32 00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 14:04, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Career stats tables

Hello, and thanks for trying to improve the statistical aspects of football articles. Might be wrong, but I'd guess the reason your addition of a stats table at Steve Watson was reverted by the bot could have been because you made a large addition to a biography of a living person without including any reference to where the information came from. We're expected to include sources when adding stuff to any article, but it's particularly important for articles about real living people.

I see you've now added a reference to Transfermarkt. Unfortunately, it's not considered a reliable source, because some parts of the site can be user-edited and because of its incompleteness and inaccuracy, even for modern players from major countries. For instance, Watson played 30-odd domestic cup matches for Newcastle, not 1, and another 20-odd "other" matches. There are similar missing appearances for other clubs.

FYI, there's an outline for a standard-format stats table at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players and a link to FAQs below it. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 14:38, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Keep up the great work!

As the primary contributor to the Fandi Ahmad article, I would like to compliment you for your great work on Aleksandar Duric, Indra Sahdan Daud and other articles about Singaporean football. Keep it up and if you need any help or advice, feel free to ask me or Chensiyuan. By the way, your username reminds me of ORD LO! --Hildanknight (talk) 16:23, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Congratulations on Aleksandar Duric becoming your first GA! For a new editor, you have learnt the ropes pretty quickly (certainly faster than me). I forgot to mention the Singapore noticeboard, where you can meet other Singaporean editors (I assume you are Singaporean). May we know which other local football articles you intend to work on in future and which other Singaporean topics you would be interested in writing about (besides football)? --Hildanknight (talk) 07:24, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Vlado Bozinovski, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. GiantSnowman 16:09, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the new ref - but most, maybe even all, stats are already referenced to this. GiantSnowman 17:29, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Query

What was the rationale for the series of edits which included this one? --John (talk) 09:57, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

No clear consensus have been concluded at the discussion. While I understand the need to reduce usage in certain areas and have personally made attempts at flag removals, the player and squad lists should be left untouched unless a viable alternative is adopted. You may wish to notify users of bigger clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal F.C., Real Madrid and FC Barcelona of the discussion and your intents instead of starting with the smaller clubs. Ultimately, those articles are used by many football fans and they should have the last say on what is useful to them, not until they have no idea what hit them. LRD NO (talk) 11:12, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
My intents? What do you think my intents are? --John (talk) 11:18, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
Not personally directed at you, obviously. Rather the intent of certain users to remove the flags without consideration for the footballing wiki-community at large. I certainly hope you aren't offended by any misconceptions. LRD NO (talk) 11:30, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
No, I am not offended. I am still not really seeing a coherent rationale for the edits you made. --John (talk) 11:40, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
The footballing community have already brought forward their points so I won't go into another lengthy discussion here. You could get a number of users equally unable to see a reason for a blanket removal of flags either. Sure, by all means remove flags from airport destinations, airline companies, especially where the countries were already listed, making them redundant. Or football competition broadcasters, infoboxes, technical staff where the country is listed. Many football fans/users use the squad list to get a broad overview of the player nationalities, with foreign player limits, home-grown rules, and increasing concern over the pool of eligible players for the national team. A probable solution would be to replace the flags with their 3-letter codes or change the template to include full country names. Wholesale removal of flags is not going to give us a resolution or consensus.
You may have to expect some delay in replying, it being the weekend and all. LRD NO (talk) 16:15, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
No, that still isn't making sense to me. You made a series of reversions; what was your rationale to do so? Based on Wikipedia policies, guidelines, that sort of thing. Take as long as you want, to answer, but maybe don't do any more edits like this until you know why you are doing them and are able to explain it. --John (talk) 16:35, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

Local football articles

Hope all is well on your end. How is the Sundram article coming along? I noticed that your sandbox is now about Craig Bellamy while the mainspace article about Sundram has barely changed. --Hildanknight (talk) 17:10, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Work on the Sundram article is on hold. I'm contributing to the Bellamy article since I'm reading his autobiography atm and as his article is mostly detailed, it would be an easier task to fill in the blanks compared to the much longer time it would take for Sundram. LRD NO (talk) 10:24, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
Noticed that you moved the Bellamy article to mainspace and your sandbox is now empty. Since Wikipedia has many English editors writing about English football (far better than we ever could), I think we should focus on Singaporean articles to counter systemic bias. Looking forward to eventually seeing the complete Sundram article in mainspace. Thanks again for your contributions and all the best! --Hildanknight (talk) 16:48, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

2013 Singapore Cup knockout phase

This league Singapore EPL Fan Club League appeared on the newspaper a couple of times already. The fixtures are published time to time as well. Voxsports, the Singapore media, has also published highlights of the matches for the entire season. (HealthSX (talk) 06:08, 18 June 2014 (UTC))

The main article did not state the match details (the goalscorers) for simplicity as it was loaded with information already. There is no need to delete the page and it should retain as it has existed since last year and there is clearly no need to delete. (HealthSX (talk) 13:08, 18 June 2014 (UTC)) It has been practised by other tournaments on Wikipedia as well, one example is the World Cup, I think it's okay for it to stay the way it is. HealthSX (talk) 14:21, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks buddy!

Enner Valencia

I would like for you to tell me where exactly you think he still plays for FC Pachuca. You say I have an unreliable sources but do you know my source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Miguel0071 (talkcontribs) 19:15, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

All the sources I see online points to Valencia still in negotiations with West Ham, and no deal having been confirmed yet. Nobody has said you have a unreliable source, only your edit was unsourced. There's a difference, and yes I don't know your source cos you didn't provide one. If you have a source or reference pointing to Valencia having signed a contract and being a West Ham player, you should include that in the article. Otherwise, as per WP:RS policy, it is liable to being reverted. LRD NO 19:46, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Ayoze Pérez

Sorry, but you are wrong, mate. See here, the both stats are with the first-team, and yes, the B-team stats were wrong, but according to here he scored 11 goals overall for them. I'll be correcting the page.

Also, I'm sorry for the language. MYS77 13:49, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

I think you made a confusion about Segunda División B and CD Tenerife B. The first is a division where Tenerife's main squad played in 2012-13, while the second only played in Tercera División or less (excluding two seasons in Segunda B too). MYS77 13:53, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Facunda Ferreyra

Someone had already changed it and I was just adding references, sorry LRD NO. And you didn't need to delete the part about him scoring six league goals in five starts for his club last season. That is a fact that should be included in his bio. Rupert1904 (talk) 20:07, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

No worries. Daily Mail tends to jump the gun regarding transfers so I'd wait for more reliable sources. Apologies if one of your valid edits got reverted in the process as there's plenty of correcting done on that page today. LRD NO 20:11, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Understandable, I hadn't checked to see if Newcastle had confirmed it yet so I apologize for not looking for that first before adding the Daily Mail confirmation. Cheers! Rupert1904 (talk) 20:14, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Seriously?

Eric Dier will wear number 25 for Spurs this season. Common sense doesn't need to be verified. Hugo Lloris hasn't had his squad number confirmed but as Spurs supporter I'm well aware of situations at the club to know he'll be wearing number 1 next year. It's not life or death & I'm not vandalizing pages with far our information I know to be false. Give me a break and stop changing my edits. THANK YOU. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hotspurfc82 (talkcontribs) 16:19, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia works on verifiability supported by reliable sources and not by personal opinion ('common sense' needs to be verified too). The consensus is that unless the numbers are officially announced by the club, all squad number edits are unsourced and will be reverted. For that purpose, numbers used in pre-season friendly (including dressing room pics) and training kits are not accepted, and will be reverted by most experienced editors. Fwiw, it was another editor who understands the process that reverted your edits on Lloris. Neither did I imply your edit on Dier as vandalism (different from unsourced), even if a full explanation was clearly given on the edit page.
Please take the time to familiarise with WP:RS before you continue with your edits. Thank you. LRD NO 16:26, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

2014-2015 Tottenham Hotspur

If you actually did your research on the official Tottenham website and not act like a know-it-all, you would realise that Emmanuel Adebayor scored at 28 minutes instead of 29 and Roberto Soldado scored at 65 minutes instead of 66. Also, Ben Davies does not have an official number (#33 is just a temporary one) and Aaron Lennon and Younes Kaboul are ACTUALLY legitimate vice-captains of the club. Please respect the changes I made, or rather, please respect facts about the club and not remove every edit that was done. McDpZ Spurs (talk) 06:37, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

The official Spurs match report[1] had conflicting times for the goals scored in the summary and the main report and that's where the issue occured when I did a quick check. It would help if your other edits were sourced so that they can be verified. Apologies if I had removed valid edits as I had to deal with a clear vandal on the same page just before you. Career stats

Hello. Had a hard day IRL yesterday and haven't properly woken up yet, so please excuse me not being very bright. From what I remember of that last discussion, there was a fair amount of misunderstanding and/or lack of clarity over terminology. I'm not sure that the words "listing seasons chronologically" clearly reflect any consensus reached, and in practice I can't see either/any party changing from their preferred format just because it's on the player MoS.

If you do see a clear consensus, please feel free to clarify the MoS accordingly, but do play safe and make sure you post on the talk page what you've done and why ;) Again, apologies if I'm not making much sense. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:47, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Ah. A good-faith interpretation of the Oct 2012 discussion outcome could be:
several people explicitly agreed with the basics of the proposed table;
and, no-one explicitly agreed with my preference for strict-chrono sorting;
therefore, consensus for the basics of the proposed table including club/chrono sorting.
Not sure I agree with that logic, but I can see that people might. (And I changed my personal opinion on sort order somewhen between then and Jan 2014, but that's by the by.) When – 15 months later – a loan row was added to the MoS-page table, it became clear there was opposition from experienced editors, and the resulting discussion was inconclusive. If you're sure we do need clarification, maybe add your summary of the Jan 2014 discussion to the MoS talk page thread, leave the table unchanged, and add another note to those already below it, "Although a majority of editors prefer... some editors prefer... (link to discussion)" sort of thing? whatever your interpretation is. Worst that can happen is it'll be reverted and we can have another go... cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:57, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Re: Chelsea squad numbers

Hi, I was using the former link and going by the updated positioning of Aké, Courtois and Moses, and had presumed the reason the numbers themselves hadn't been updated was because of an error. But we should know the numbers anyway by end of business today. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:13, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Don't remove the Lille B stats from the infobox; B team appearance are also shown in the infoboxes of footballers, e.g. Lionel Messi or Jasper Cillessen.

Didier Drogba

Hi man, yeah sorry about that. Should have waited!

Accepted nicknames are a feature of many Wikipedia pages, why should Jack Colback be an exception? The accuracy of the nickname can be backed up by many sources.Chairboy73 (talk) 12:15, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

It's hardly a notable nickname that Colback has, and was mentioned mainly as sarcasm or in jest by Newcastle fans. Neither was it coined by the supporters (it was by a journalist) and a mere mention of a recent nickname by Hodgson does not make it established enough to attach to Colback's name. LRD NO (talk) 12:18, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Blind

I know it must be really hard to believe, but it's on the Ajax website now. You can stop reverting edits. It's been reported by every news source in the Netherlands. Edwin van der Sar was just on television speaking on it. Check the official website, it's a 4 year contract. Transfer fee is 17,5 million euros. Cheers. (Subzzee (talk) 10:31, 30 August 2014 (UTC))

I only go by what reliable sources say, and in this case the announcement released by Manchester United about an hour ago states that:
Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Ajax to sign Daley Blind, subject to a medical and personal terms.
Ajax's statement states that:
...the agreement (of the transfer) between the clubs is subject to fulfillment of certain conditions.
meaning the transfer is not officially completed yet.
If and when Manchester United officially confirms the transfer, please feel free to edit the page supported by a link. Thank you. LRD NO (talk) 10:41, 30 August 2014 (UTC)

Rolando Aarons

Regarding 3RR

Hello. If you are reverting under one of the 3RR exemptions it is normally a good idea to refer to that in the edit summary to avoid misunderstandings. Sometimes people get blocked for 3RR because it is unclear that it was an exempt revert. Example "Reverting, 3RR exempt as being an unsourced BLP violation WP:NOT3RR #7".

If you don't think you are reverting under a 3RR exemption then be careful as you have reverted 3 times today on Daley Blind.

I am not suggesting one way or another if your reverts fall under the exemptions as I do not know enough about the subject. Chillum 19:17, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

I'm using Twinkle, which unfortunately does not include the option of an edit summary nor have a default 'rvv' summary if you use the vandalism button. I'll switch to the regular revert button from now on. cheers. LRD NO (talk) 19:22, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Ayoze Pérez

I've added the info before, it was correct, and still some users removed it. People in England need to understand that in Spain the RULES are different, and the reserve teams are SENIOR enough to appear in the box. Bye, MYS77 14:04, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Then I provided a reliable source, didn't I? So why complaining about it? It was reliable enough, only one season was missing (I can't find it nowhere, but found the goals) and my caps is to warn you that if someone deletes it (again), please reinstate it instead of leaving it out of the page. Cheers, MYS77 14:11, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Wikihounding

Hello, can you please explain to me why you feel the need to revise every single contribution I make to Wikipedia? I have been contributing to this website much longer then you. For years longer then you. You are practically a newbie and have not contributed to-, or created as many articles on Wikipedia as I have. I am an auto-patrolled contributor and have easily contributed over 100 articles to this site. For years now each contribution I have made has been verified and reviewed without your help. I'll admit there might be some instances where you have enhanced an article that I have contributed to Wiki here or there, but in most cases you are being extremely petty and incessant. I have already reported you once in the past and you were asked to give me some space. I would appreciate if you went about your business and would fall back a little. If this keeps up I will report you again. Thanks WP:WIKIHOUNDING (Subzzee (talk) 16:07, 27 September 2014 (UTC))

I think you have misinterpreted Wikihounding policy. WP:WIKIHOUND states that:
Correct use of an editor's history includes (but is not limited to) fixing unambiguous errors or violations of Wikipedia policy, or correcting related problems on multiple articles. In fact, such practices are recommended both for Recent changes patrol and WikiProject Spam.
while also mentioning:
The important component of wikihounding is disruption to another user's own enjoyment of editing, or to the project generally, for no overriding reason.
The edits I have made were according to Wikipedia guidelines and policies, including project consensus. The nature of the edits have also been clearly explained in the edit summaries. If you have any issues with the guidelines, policies and consensus, please bring it up to the relevant talk pages. Do note that the time an editor has spent on Wikipedia has little relevance in editing against community consensus. And please be civil and avoid personal attacks. Thank you. LRD 16:23, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Sorry but the problem is not with guidelines, policies or consensus, it is in the fact that you were asked to give me space which you are not respecting. You are stalking my every edit and making changes to every contribution I make. What you are doing falls under WP:WIKIHOUNDING, this is exactly what you are doing and I need you to respect the AP ruling from the last time this issue was raised.

Wikihounding usually involves following the target from place to place on Wikipedia.
Many users track other users' edits, although usually for collegial or administrative purposes. This should always be done carefully, and with good cause, to avoid raising the suspicion that an editor's contributions are being followed to cause them distress, or out of revenge for a perceived slight.
Harassment can also include actions calculated to be noticed by the target and clearly suggestive of targeting them, where no direct communication takes place.
Placing numerous false or questionable "warnings" on a user's talk page, restoring such comments after a user has removed them, placing "suspected sockpuppet" and similar tags on the user page of active contributors, and otherwise trying to display material the user may find annoying or embarrassing in their user space is a common form of harassment.

You have continuously engaged in this sort of behavior. We have had this discussion before after I reported it and you were asked to give me some space. I have let you know how I fell about it as required and will take action where necessary. (Subzzee (talk) 18:15, 27 September 2014 (UTC))

Again, those edits were made in the name of adherence to guidelines, policies and consensus, so it has everything to do with them. Chillum, as a mediator, asked to give you some personal space since you were not responding well to discussions,[2] and I accepted his request, ceasing further correspondence with you. (That is hardly an AP ruling btw.) Any subsequent edits were done in the name of, yes, guidelines, policies and consensus. No editor should be treated any differently when it comes to the core values guiding this encyclopedia. If you believe otherwise, kindly state the reasoning behind it. Nor can anyone claim ownership of articles e.g. this is my page, do not touch my edits. And to claim that I have been making changes to every contribution you make is ridiculous.
I have read through the WP:WIKIHOUND policy clearly and believe I have not infringed on any related offences. Please feel free to take this to the relevant noticeboard if you wish. Thank you. LRD 18:46, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Trust me I have gathered enough evidence to show the absurdity of your actions, and will take action and escalate it if your behavior does not change and this continues. Note that if you have me on a WatchlistBot to track my edits (Which must be the case, since your changes always occur within mere minutes of mine, after EVERY SINGLE EDIT I MAKE) The ability to watch users and networks with a WatchBot should not be construed as an endorsement of hounding. These features are provided to assist the counter-vandalism force when keeping tabs on problematic users or networks. Misuse of these features may lead to revocation of access to the bot. (Subzzee (talk) 19:41, 27 September 2014 (UTC))

Again, I refer you to the first statement above which states correct use of an editor's history includes violations of Wikipedia policy, which in itself is not wikihounding and is in fact encouraged. You have not stated why any of those edits in themselves were wrong so far nor have you given a valid reason why you and those pages should be excused from WP policies. I'd also like you to point out where I have changed every single edit (you) make'. Note this is the second time you have made this baseless accusation.
As mentioned, feel free to take this to the relevant noticeboard. I will let the administrators and other editors judge the strength of the case based on the evidence I present. Thank you. LRD 00:19, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

Aleksandar Đurić

I suggest you do your research! RSSSF has 58, NFT which doesn't have complete data for certain countries already has 57! You made the article a GA, now you can go ahead find all his caps and it ain't 54! Mas y mas (talk) 08:33, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

I have to advise you to be civil again. The research was already done as part of the GA nomination and two sources states (FIFA and a local newspaper) states that he has 54 caps. Your assumption that NFT (sic) does not have the the complete data and RSSSF does is baseless and not verifiable since RSSSF does not have a list of the matches he has played in for checking, and they have been shown to have erroneous data before. Until it can be otherwise proven, it stays at 54. LRD 08:38, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
First of all stop being such a primadonna, what about my original comment was "not being civilized"? Second, research was NOT done. All you did was find a source or two which merely states a figure rather a list of actual appearances! I'm actually telling you to find every appearance! That's obviously different! Again, if you don't want to follow RSSSF as a file for Duric hasn't been made yet then as I said, there's NFT. It already has 57 which quashes the 54 figure that you like to accept as accurate and NFT has missing data for Singapore which in all likelihood would be 58 as per RSSSF if they had more data! If you're still gonna be bone headed regarding accuracy of caps even when it's clear you're wrong and you're trying to be corrected, then that's all on you. You've got issues! On that note I'm done! Bye!! Mas y mas (talk) 09:02, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
I suggest you read WP:CIVIL on how to approach fellow editors with civility. Two reliable sources stated that he retired with 54 caps, and can be further supported with a Google search.[3][4][5] As such, there is no need to find every appearance he made. NFT actually states 55 caps,[6] a discrepancy of one, and they too have similar issues regarding incomplete or erroneous data. RSSSF does not have the complete list of matches you demand either so we can't verify their data (again, similar errors were discovered and pointed to you before). LRD 09:16, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
Maybe just two more, haha! Wow just wow!! As I've said earlier, all you've done by pointing sources which state 54 is that they only give a mere figure! Surely even you can figure that out? haha! Yes NFT says 55 but has 2 for "non-FIFA" because two of his appearances came in matches where both teams used more than six subs but those are still full internationals for the FAS AND FIFA! Both of which were played in 2011, one of which he scored in and you've listed it in his international goals! You can say 54 all you want, it still doesn't take away that a source such as NFT already quashes the 54 figure which you you seem to take as gospel! And for the sake of really putting egg on your face, I'll go ahead and do what you won't and show you all 58 of his caps (w/ proper sources) for my final reply. Just give me a bit of time. Mas y mas (talk) 11:41, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
You do realise that the RSSSF source you have taken as the basis of 58 caps gives 'a mere figure' too? The reliable sources were good enough for the GAN and for other articles, and I'm not sure why you are adamant they are not fit for purpose. This is not a case of putting egg on one's face or similar. If you have proper data supported by reliable sources, we could take a second look. Take your time to present your data. cheers. LRD 11:51, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
Ya it's a mere figure, but then I went on to say that NFT already has 57 which is still missing data and therefore could reach 58 and it does!! They're not fit because as said those are only figures coupled with the fact a site that is widely used for national team player stats, national-football-teams.com already quashes that figure with 57 which I also acknowledge has missing data. I've been trying to get that through since the start but you've got such a hard head! It was good enough for GAN because the sites used are considered reliable such as FIFA.com. Statistics are a different story.

For 2010-2012 see Duric's profile at NFT [32]. All his games are listed in the "games" tab. There's 34 listed for this period but you have to disregard the game against Denmark in 2010 because that's not a full international and it was the Denmark League XI national football team therefore making it 33 games for this period.

Simple math... 25 33 = __ That's right... 58!! FIFTY EIGHT!!!! Not 54! Care for some egg? haha! Now I'm done!

Duric was not involved in the 7-12-08 MYA game but the NFT list shows 34 so it adds up. As mentioned, we need some data to work with and since they are provided, I will add in a footnote regarding the extra four games. LRD 13:20, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
Stupidity on my part then. Anyway, You still can't let go that you're still wrong. "Appeared in four other non-FIFA santioned games"?? No he didn't!! All his caps are from FIFA recognized matches except the games against Denmark in 2010 and Vietnam in November 2008 but this as I've already told and showed you before is an official match for the FAS!! Look up the fixtures on FIFA.com yourself it won't take long haha. Since RSSSF lists 58 caps, it's possible that the FAS also considers the Denmark game as official. But since we can't prove that right now, 57 caps should be listed on the page with a note which states that it could be 58 depending on the status of the Denmark game. Mas y mas (talk) 15:18, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
The 54 recognised caps were supported by a FIFA citation,[33] and backed further by a number of reliable sources.[34][35][36] It is only logical to deduce that 4 other games were not officially recognised by FIFA. Without conclusive evidence on the official status of each individual match, differing from the officially-stated caps is speculative at best. LRD 16:14, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
The press release (21 Nov 2012) by the Football Association of Singapore[37] prior to Duric's last tournament and post-tournament international retirement, and its accompanying squad list[38] has Duric at 46 caps/23 goals. According to NFT,[39] Duric made 7 appearances, scoring once in the tournament. That makes a total of 53 caps/24 goals recognised as official by the FAS and a few sources follows that, including the largest local daily, The Straits Times,[40] the official AFF Suzuki Cup website,[41] and the AFC.[42] (pdf, p. 18) So what we have now is:
  • 54 caps/27 goals as officially recognised by FIFA
  • 53 caps/24 goals as officially recognised by FAS, AFC
  • 58 international appearances and 27 goals, including matches not recognised by FIFA/FAS/AFC
So it's a case of whether to list the official appearance/goal records of 54/27 or 53/24 in the player infobox, with a footnote stating the other figures involved.
I will invite two experienced editors in User:GiantSnowman and User:Struway2 to participate in this discussion. If you wish for wider consensus beyond the editors' input, we could take it to WT:FOOTY. LRD 17:18, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
This needs to be discussed on the talk page; for what it's worth I'd state 54/27 per FIFA. We should definitely not be counting unofficial/non-recognized games. GiantSnowman 17:37, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I have opened a discussion at WT:FOOTY and added a link to the discussion over at the article talk page. cheers. LRD 18:28, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Singapore Lions RM

Hello, and thanks for asking. Though you probably picked the wrong person to ask, not sure I've ever done one. As I understand it, for football, the Article Alert bot will pick it up automatically from the talk page banner and add to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Article alerts. But WP:SG is only subscribed to have GA/FA added to their alert list, see Wikipedia:Article alerts/Subscription list#S, entry SGpedians' notice board. You could either edit that entry to include requested moves (just add ,RM after the FEAT, GOOD), or add a note on their noticeboard talk page. I see you've already added it manually to the list at WT:FOOTY. hope this helps, cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:27, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

There are instructions about how AAlertBot works at Wikipedia:Article alerts/Subscribing. Once a suitable subscription is set up, then you don't have to do anything. At the moment, the Singapore one is only set up to receive alerts for GAs and FAs, so as it stands that project won't receive an automatic notification of your RM, although the football one will. The bot relies on the appropriate project banner existing on the talk page (or infobox on the article).
Personally, for football PRODs etc I always do add everything manually to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Nominations for deletion and page moves, because I'm not sure whether everyone uses the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Article alerts page, and because not all football articles have either the talk page banner or an infobox. Although some people don't update that list because they assume the bot will pick everything up... cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:56, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

See Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players#Career statistics for the MOS, which the table doesn't/didn't abide by fully. GiantSnowman 15:06, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

The column width was to improve clarity and the footnote adds relevant details. I see nothing against the principles of the MOS in question. LRD 15:08, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
The MOS does not have width specified for columns, and it does not have in-line notes about certain appearances, the column is sufficient. Why are you being so difficult? GiantSnowman 16:45, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
Adjusting column width is not a violation of any MOS. There is nothing against a footnote further elaborating details either. There is no need to be pedantic about improvements to articles. LRD 16:50, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
Where in the MOS I have pointed you to does it allow/show either column width or footnotes? How are they improving the article? If anything the footnote is detracting as it messes with the alignment of the numbers. Stop being disruptive - I would invite you to either self-revert, or to suggest amendments to the MOS (which I would not oppose btw!). GiantSnowman 17:18, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
There is nothing in the MOS to suggest that adjusting column width or adding footnotes is strictly prohibited. Anyway, this has been brought to the attention of WP:FOOTBALL, which you should be aware of by now. We'll take it from there. LRD 17:26, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

Notes in new module

Hi,

I changed your head-to-head info in the league table to note. Head to ead is for info when teams are tied on points and there has been head to haed matches. I was just wondering if there was a special reson for the use of hth? QED237 (talk) 22:16, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

I have only just replied at WT:FOOTBALL. Not all parameters can be named appropriately to reflect the situation it is used for. For example, Forest Green were deducted three points after the season had started and the parameter used was 'startpoints'. Since this is a points deduction, it would be more appropriate to list it in the relevant cell, under the total points tally. cheers. LRD 22:21, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Yes, I am willing to agree but it is a matter of we need to change module as I brought it up again at this discussion but also on several other places. I am not a hundred percent liking the current note setup but that was what has been decided. In my opinion the hth note should be in position column as it affects position and not points. QED237 (talk) 22:24, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@Qed237: I know @CRwikiCA: and you have been putting a lot of time into the sports table module and I congratulate both of you for the immense work. We must understand the limitations of parameters naming though. Where 'startpoints' may be used to reflect any points deduction, the term does not accurately reflect any points deduction during the season. In the Forest Green case, a note next to the total points tally, using the hth paramter, would surely be more relevant. cheers. LRD 22:36, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
I see nothing in the discussion that states notes for points deduction should be specifically listed under parameter 'note'. Would CR be able to add in a new parameter 'note_startpoints_RRR' so that it can be reflected under the more relevant total points (along with the startpoints (deductpoints) in the same cell)? The other consideration would be to rename the startpoints parameter itself to deductpoints since it is not the first time an editor had trouble finding the correct parameter to use. cheere. LRD 22:36, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
I realize now that my main issues with the notes has been complaining on talkpage of CRwikiCA. I gave a response at WT:FOOTY which I believe is best place for this discussion, where I want hth-note to be in position column, and a pointnote_FGR in points-column and regular note in team column (even if I dont know when that would be used?). About parametername that is an idea, but we must also know teams can get bonuspints like in last season FA WSL (women). QED237 (talk) 22:44, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
It's too early for me to have a drink here so I must politely decline. :)
I have also brought my points (along with some pints for Xmas) over to WP:FOOTY. I believe it's a simple case of renaming the parameter along with a note parameter. Anyway, let's take it from there. cheers. LRD 22:51, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
