Radha page

edit

Hi @Kridha I saw you changed back the lead section changes that I had removed. I just want to explain here that the reason why I had removed was that such details in lead are not detailed in the body of the page - maybe I have overlooked. It would be great if are able to add details in the body first with WP:RS, and then maybe if important to include, we can add it in the Lead. Also, you don't have to include citations in the lead. See WP:LEAD for more details. Asteramellus (talk) 22:08, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, @User:Asteramellus. Firstly, I would like to apologise for replying so late, I was not on the Wikipedia from last few days. Secondly, regarding the changes and WP:Lead, I am aware of that guideline but I personally prefer to back the statement with a WP:RS. So that, it cannot be unnecessarily removed citing the lack of reliable references. Many editors don't even bother to check the remaining section and quickly revert the lead, citing the same reason. Now, regarding the traditions which are mentioned briefly in the Introduction and not in the body is because of this section's similarity with the "Traditions" section of the page Radha Krishna. If I add the traditions in detail here, it would look more or less like the information provided on Radha Krishna's page. So, I haven't added it till now. But, it can be added later with the modification if required. Other than this, if you have any specific query or suggestion regarding the page Radha, please do let me know. I would love to discuss it. Regards, Kridha (talk) 09:13, 3 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Kridha sorry, I missed replying earlier. Thanks for the clarifications. I see your point that adding details to support what is in the lead will be pretty much repeating information which is there on Radha Krishna. And that's why I think adding such detail in the lead (without support in the body) on this Radha page is not justified. Some of those details makes sense when we talk about Radha along with Krishna, and as you have mentioned, Radha Krishna page is for that. You can also give some thought to this, but I definitely see your point. Asteramellus (talk) 14:02, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
