Rights groups
editActually, I'm a bit concerned about KFA and BFCK. Neither of those articles seems to pass WP:N. Can you find any information on them from WP:RS - preferably something on a national level? Otherwise the articles are ripe for deletion. That's a much more serious issue than whether or not a tiff between the groups is mentioned in the articles or not. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 17:12, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Kentucky Fairness Alliance "Neutrality Project"
editI reviewed the edits you made to the Kentucky Fairness Alliance page, and I like what you have done with the Lexington Fairness and Northern KY Fairness sections. They present the information in a factual tone, and I agree with the removal of the itemized list of reasons why one group split from the other. As those kinds of things happen all the time amongst almost all non-profits (groups splitting, leadership changes, groups get back together), I don't feel that a detailed listing of their reasons was needed. Good job!--Antcjone (talk) 17:39, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Invitation to join WikiProject United States
editNotification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
editHello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:03, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Pride 2014
editHi Kentucky. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 16:12, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.
We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.
