- I first met Kbthompson at a London Wikimeet I organized in early 2009. What an amazing personality that will be dearly missed by myself and others in "real life" and here on Wikipedia. We will always remember him for his lovely character and his great work here on Wikipedia. My condolences to his family and friends. Poeloq (talk) 22:42, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Though I did not have the honour of knowing him or interacting with him, my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. MikeLynch (talk) 16:31, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- I enjoyed interacting with him through WP and so it is sad to see him go, although I never met him physically. I did respect him, especially as one of the earliest people i met on WP. Condolences to other friends and family. Simply south (talk) 17:50, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- This is just too sad, and far too untimely. He was terrifically helpful, kind and encouraging when I was re-writing Hampton Court Palace, and our paths crossed from time to time when I delved into other London buildings. Always so ready to assist; what a loss to the project and doubtless even more so to his family and real life friends, who have my sympathy. Requiescat in pace. Giacomo 19:58, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

- My condolences. (A. Carty (talk) 15:54, 18 December 2010 (UTC))
- I had the pleasure of getting to know him a bit through private correspondence and he was a big help to me beyond the scope of Wikipedia. His experiences in helping take care of his parents before they passed away would prove to be very helpful to me when the time came for me to do the same. This loss comes as a shock. He will be sorely missed. He was Crème de la crème of Wikipedians. My deepest sympathies to his family.

- We interacted several times on these talk pages over articles relating to London theatre, for which we both shared a passion. He was a lovely man, and we are all poorer without him. Rest in peace, KB. --Peripatetic (talk) 12:19, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- I never knew him, but as sad as it is to me to see any editor leaving Wikipedia, it's even sadder knowing he cannot return, either to Wikipedia or to those whom he loves. If you are still watching this page now, may I express my sorrow for your loss. CycloneGU (talk) 02:50, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
