Ali Gunyar

edit

Hi Jsmith006,

Despite I follow and respect of your significant contributions over the martial arts articles, I did not have a chance to communicate with you, due to my inconsistant communication ability. Well, here I'm to share my opinion for the guy in title. Ali is, as you know, of Turkish descent. His original surname is "Günyar" (in Turkish, names/surnames might posses a meaning and, Günyar literally means: Day-Lover [I know, it does not make a decent sense]). Please see the example news article on a German-based version of a prominent and long-established Turkish newpaper.[1] I can find other examples. Should you google that, you'd also recognize that Günyar is a common surname in Turkey, where you can see people established their business on their surnames, as well as people having account on social networking websites.

All in all, please consider the fact, and hereby, I suggest you to move the page with the fundamental name of Gunyar.

Btw, I'm pretty sorry for all these deletion disaster over martial arts articles. I's unfortunately late to handle the defenders like you and Marty. I'm also sad that Marty is no longer active. I hope he will get back soon.

Jean-Yves Theriault

edit

Jsmith006,

You asked me nearly a year ago to post the STAR ring record for Jean-Yves Theriault. It took me awhile, but it's up now along with the record of another pioneer champion, Steve Shepherd. Both Jean-Yves and Steve personally reviewed the STAR ring record and have approved the posted versions. The title fights and sanctions are clearly demarcated. You can find Theriault's record at http://www.starsystemkickboxing.net/Pages/JeanYvesTheriault.aspx
