Good work

edit

I loved the pic of the Longford River, and went on to discover a great article on The Naked Ladies, whom we discovered by chance a few months ago. Regards Motmit (talk) 19:43, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I submitted it at Wikipedia:Good article nominations nearly a month ago, but sadly no-one has reviewed it yet. Jonathan Cardy (talk) 20:50, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jonathan Cardy, I have initiated a review for your nomination, The Naked Ladies. I will follow up with my review tomorrow. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message me at my talk page. –blurpeace (talk) 04:44, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jonathan (if I may use your first name), I have decided to fail the nomination. Please see my closing remarks at the review page. If you believe my judgment was in error, you may request a good article reassessment. –blurpeace (talk) 03:21, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Salix babylonica

edit

Dear Jonathan, Your image of Salix babylonica is incorrectly named. It is clearly a golden weeping willow (S. Sepulcralis Group 'Chrysocoma') with its distinct yellow branches. S. babylonica is a subtropical species grown in the Mediterranean and barely hardy in Britain were no mature specimens exist as far as I have been able to find. Please remove the photograph or add it to the correct page. Weepingraf (talk) 10:16, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry about that. I'm no expert on different types of Willow so I'm sure you are right - I think I took a photo of a Willow by a pond. If it is the wrong type of willow feel free to correct me. Jonathan Cardy (talk) 23:12, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re:Tsnori Lion

edit

Hello Jonathan. Sorry for a late reply and many thanks for your nice images. I removed the Tsnori lion picture from the Colchis page because it does not belong to this western Georgian archaeological culture. The lion sculpture was unearthed in eastern Georgia, near Tsnori. Hope this helps. Best, --KoberTalk 06:43, 29 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
