Why are you here?
- You are hacked off because I nominated one of your articles for deletion - This isn't the place to discuss it, I strongly suggest taking it up in the appropriate AfD discussion or on the articles talk page.
- You are replying to a message I left on your talk page - Don't reply here! Reply on your talk page, I'll be watching!
- You want to discuss an article - If it is an article I have previously contributed to, it is likely to be on my watchlist, consider starting a discussion there instead, it may generate more discussion from outside parties.
- You think I'm harassing you - Unlikely. I have over 20,000 pages on my watchlist, including every UK place, road, bus operator and bus route (and most rail articles). If you edit the same group of articles, we are bound to bump into each other!
- You actually wish to talk to me - Welcome! You are in the right place, start a new discussion at the bottom of the page!

West Midlands Bus Routes
editI understand what you are saying about the bus routes, many are non-encyclopaedic and non-notable.
Out of the Walsall routes, the most notable and major are the following:
- 51/X51 (Walsall - Birmingham) - Important key bus route, running every 6 minutes.
- 377 (Walsall - Sutton Coldfield) - Important CENTRO partnership bus route. (One of six to offer refunds if bus is late)
- 311/313 (Walsall - Dudley/Stourbridge) - Regular Important Service.
- 301 (Walsall - Mossley) - First showcase bus route
- 302 (Walsall - Lower Farm) - Important frequency. Very similar to 301 (Possible Merger).
- 997 (Birmingham - Walsall) - Important CENTRO partnership bus route. (One of six to offer refuunds if bus is late)
- 394/A/B/5 (Walsall - Brownhills/Burntwood) - Important regular service, replaced approx 10 services in 2007.
- 366 (Walsall - Sutton Coldfield) - Route formed from shortening of major route.
- 370/A (Walsall - Beechdale) - High frequency (7 Minutes)
- 529 (Walsall - Wolverhampton) - High frequency route, linking to major towns.
- 331 (Walsall - Willenhall) - MacAvity the cat from this service made international news.
- 337/8 (Walsall - Darlaston) - Key corridor. Could merge with 9/333/334/339 articles. Over 25 buses an hour.
- 404 (Walsall - West Bromwich/Blackheath/Cradley Heath) - Major regular service.
- 401E/05/05E (Walsall - Yew Tree Estate) - Major regular service.
If it is ok with you, shall I delete the other articles and then go through the Quality Drive with the above services.
These are only buses in the Walsall area above. Of course, if you feel the list is wrong and needs adjusting please let me know, or if you want me to follow a different course of action.
Thanks Notepanel (talk) 13:35, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- I have moved this to the quality drive talk page and responded there jenuk1985 (talk) 19:18, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Pictures in bus route QD
editHi, just a quick note. I'm going on holiday so won't be able to discuss it for a bit, but I was wondering about photos in the articles. Some of the completely non-notable articles have images on them that I wouldn't mid transferring to the commons as they could be used there. I was wondering if it was possible to, while I'm away, if you come across anything that's on an article that's going to be deleted, you could tell me about it. It would be of great help. Maybe we could start a list as part of the project for good-images-on-bad-articles-that-are being-deleted!! Arriva436talk/contribs 12:13, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Just a note I'm only talking about photos, not this sort of rubbish! West Midlands bus route 33 is an example of what I'm talking about, with File:NationalExpressWestMidlands33.jpg, which I'd like to move to commons with a better name like Travel West Midlands 1411.jpg. Arriva436talk/contribs 12:29, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes I'll ensure any "useful" content from the articles gets saved in some way. Have a good holiday :) jenuk1985 (talk) 15:39, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Why did you have to AFD all those bus routes separately? There'd be a lot less pages discussing this (and people editing them) if you stuck all the discussion on one page by bundling the nominations. - Mgm|(talk) 12:36, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- I previously AfD'ed the articles as I did collectively and was accused of being confusing, hence this time listing them separately. jenuk1985 (talk) 15:39, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
London bus routes AfDs
editI notice you've nominated a series of London bus route articles at articles for deletion. These articles all seem to have been merged into a single article London School Buses, so they no longer exist as separate articles. I'm not sure whether you intended to open a debate on whether to delete the redirects left behind when the articles were merged, or whether you wanted to delete London School Buses itself. If the former then it would be appropriate to go to Redirects for deletion. If the latter then this article is not tagged.
As it stands the AfD nomination is confusing and flawed - could you help explain? Sam Blacketer (talk) 09:34, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not entirely sure you are justified in accusing my nominations as being confusing and flawed as the articles have been merged since the nomination was made jenuk1985 (talk) 10:13, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- Apologies - I did not notice that the merger had taken place after nomination. Sam Blacketer (talk) 10:37, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
New project proposal - Norfolk & Suffolk
editHi Jenuk1985
I thought you may be interested in this proposed new project "Wikiproject Norfolk & Suffolk" as you have made valued contributions to road articles in Norfolk. Your views would be most appreciated.
Many thanks stavros1 ♣ 09:27, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Heya, thanks for the invite, it's too far out of my area to make "significant" contributions to, but I'll keep an eye on things to see if there are any areas that I can help with. jenuk1985 (talk) 13:42, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Alternative to notability
editHello! I am working on an objective alternate to notability in my userspace. Please read User:A Nobody/Inclusion guidelines and offer any suggestions on its talk page, which I will consider for revision purposes. If you do not do so, no worries, but if you wish to help, it is appreciated. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 01:43, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Toddington services
editIf you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:48, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

sorry bout cross purposes
editPlease adjust to whatever you like, for consistency. I gave o objections to redirects here. DGG (talk) 06:29, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- I see the current problems. I'm not all that sure there is consensus, but this place is unpredictable.DGG (talk) 03:38, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- I see consensus in that I went above and beyond to let people know about what I was proposing and to encourage discussion, with little reply. As for the 3 articles currently in AfD, there certainly are no sources to indicate they are notable routes. Jenuk1985 | Talk 05:03, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Your request for rollback
editAfter reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! - I was just about to write a message on your talk page! Anyway, thank you for being so quick enable rollback :) Jenuk1985 | Talk 18:50, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

WTF
edit"Maintinence tags belong at the top of an article". Please show me where this is set as policy? --Tagishsimon (talk) 00:28, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

- Well that sucks. Thank you for wasting your time and vandalising the wikipedia. Clearly what every reader of those articles needs to know, as THE MOST URGENT PIECE OF INFORMATION is that they're orphans. Complete shite. --Tagishsimon (talk) 00:39, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Please refrain from making personal attacks, this isn't the time or the place. Your edits were not constructive and have such been reverted. Jenuk1985 | Talk 00:41, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- There is no consensus whatsoever for spamming wikipedia with these tags, as a quick perusal of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Orphanage and {{orphan}} will show. Further, is it a matter of judgement as to whether a page has such a tag. My judgement is that the orphan tag is useless and spam; I'm very well within my rights to delete it from a page. Your 3RR warning is not relevant unless a 3RR situation happens: your use of 3RR to threaten me is evidence enough that you were unable to find any other policy to support your well intentioned addition of this nonsense to the articles. --Tagishsimon (talk) 00:58, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- I have already directed you to the page where it states that tags belong at the top of the page, and another user has already directed you to WP:TFD if you have issues with the orphan tag. My 3RR warning was in good faith to alert you to the fact you may be blocked if you continue with your unconstructive edits. Jenuk1985 | Talk 01:11, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Well done on creating this - It should be very useful. FYI:
- I've upgraded the template so it's possible to render the number and title bar in a different colour using the "titlecolor" and "titlebarcolor" parameters. I'm wondering whether it would be sensible to extend these so the name can be in the same colour and the coloured title bar extended down?
- I've been trying in my sandbox to include a relevant route diagram (eg: Southern Vectis route 1) as a parameter, but it keeps making the diagram too small - I thought it looked a bit silly having 2 different boxes on the right. Any thoughts as to how the diagram's size can be preserved?
- Also, I'm going to introduce a parameter for the operator logo (if there is one), hope that seems sensible. --Peeky44 (talk) 17:34, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hello, thanks for the "upgrades" to the box, its all progress :). I think having the route name in the same colour may look "a bit much", if you know what I mean, feel free to try it though.
- As for route diagrams it is something that was on my todo list to play with. The width on the UK Bus Route infobox is quite narrow, and I was going to change it to 300px to match up with Template:Infobox UK Bus Corridor. I will have a play later this evening to incorporate route maps (I only got to grips with routemaps themselves last night!)
- Including the operator logo in articles other than that of the operator itself may be dodgy ground with copyright and fair use. It is a sensible idea, and I see no harm in going forward with it until someone has a problem with it.
- Do you mind if I play with the formatting on the route 1 page to try to tidy things up a little bit? An infobox should be the first thing on the page ideally, if you want to do this then go ahead :).
- Also if you can add any comments to any of the issues raised Wikipedia talk:WikiProject buses/UK bus route quality drive page it would be helpful, as sometimes it feels I'm doing this alone! Jenuk1985 | Talk 17:42, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
U.S. Roads discussion you may be interested in
editHello from across the pond, Jen! I noticed your comment on the Interstate 74 in Iowa deletion discussion, and thought you may want to chip in with regards to this discussion, which is all about the way U.S. road articles that cross into many states are split into subarticles. I figured you might have some interesting perspective, having worked on road articles outside the U.S. Hope to see you there! —Scott5114↗ [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 09:12, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Ivaylo Traykov Deletion
editI noticed you have tagged the Ivaylo Traykov page for speedy deletion. I have opposed your view and have outlined my reason on the article's talk page. If you could read that, it would be greatly appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acb4341 (talk • contribs) 08:08, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- I have removed the speedy tag for now, but I'm not convinced this person is notable. Jenuk1985 | Talk 08:14, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean by 'not notable'? Is representing your country in your chosen sport not notable enough? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acb4341 (talk • contribs) 08:17, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry about forgetting to sign my comments. Have my changes to the page changed your mind yet?--Acb4341 (talk) 08:24, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Consider adding an infobox, similar to what is used on Andy Murray. The article needs more content really. Jenuk1985 | Talk 08:28, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

- How much more content do you think is needed to stop it from being vulnerable to deletion?--Acb4341 (talk) 09:13, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Just a few more sentences really, establishing why the player is notable, with sources. Sources are very important! Jenuk1985 | Talk 09:15, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Your comments on my Claude W. Kinder Page
editHi Jenuk1985, thank you for advice about my new Wikipedia page about Claude W. Kinder and Chinese Railways. I am new to editing & contributing to Wiki and still do not know my way around. I am still having big problems with attaching citations and references. I click the ref icon and the fill in the details of the refence in the highlited gap but for some reason it shows up as a tag error at the bottom of the page. Can you suggest what I might be doing wrong. On other occasions it seems to have worked OK.
Also if I read some information on another Wikipage which is simply not correct (and no back-up citations have been given either) how should I deal with this? Do I simply delete the incorrect sentences (seems a bit impolite!) or contact the contributor to challenge them? regards, Chinarail —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chinarail (talk • contribs) 06:02, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- You need to add the following to the bottom of the page:
- ==References==
- {{reflist}}
- As for editing other information, as it you are not yet familar with editing on wiki just yet, I'd advise that you leave a note on the articles talk page for discussion, it may be that somebody can add a source for the information. If nobody has responded after a few days, go ahead and just remove the information.
- Also when leaving comments on talk pages, always sign your posts with ~~~~ (on a UK keyboard, this is located on the # key, but it may be different on the keyboard you use), this automatically adds your username and date to the end of the page. I'll have a look over the Claude W. Kinder page sometime later today for you, right now I'm a little bit busy. Jenuk1985 | Talk 07:05, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Automatic patrolling of tagged pages at New Page patrol
editHi there. There is a suggestion to get a bot to patrol any New Page that an editor has tagged for CSD, AfD, etc. As someone who patrols a lot, your opinion is particularly welcomed. --GedUK 10:06, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
