Report Vandalism
This user reports vandals to administrators so they can be blocked. |
I have noticed that you report vandals to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, so consider using the new userbox User:Lordmontu/Userboxes/Vandal Reporter. --Lordmontu 01:51, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Just FYI, this isn't exactly an award...it is just a userbox that I created, and I was trying to pass it around to other users. Sorry. Find more userboxes at Wikipedia:Userboxes. --Lordmontu 06:10, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, and project-wide collaboration.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Carom 01:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, Flubeca, but I think you're a bit too new for AutoWikiBrowser. Get your feet wet by editing more articles, and reapply when you have more edits. Thanks for applying though. —METS501 (talk) 01:10, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Hello
Don't worry about 3RR when reverting vandalism - in short, it doesn't apply. After all, you are reverting to protect Wikipedia's content. Keep up the good work, and see you around the Wiki :-) --HappyCamper 17:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Just a note that, when applying this tag to an article, it's necessary to check that the article hasn't been blanked by a vandal. For example, Terry Anderson (radio), which you tagged, has a history reaching back to May 2006. Splash - tk 22:54, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

GA review
I see that you recently passed Seung-Hui Cho. In the future, could you please leave just a few comments on the talk pages of the articles you pass? This will help provide rationale by the reviewer in case the article ever goes to Good article review. Also, when you pass an article, make sure to remove the nomination from the GAC page so other reviewers don't think that it still needs to be reviewed. I'll do it for now, so you don't need to worry about it. Thanks for helping to review articles and help eliminate the backlog. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 22:08, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
::Another question about the Seung-Hui Cho article. The article was once rated at B-Class, but was nominated by an editor for Good Article (GA) status. Since you've now tagged the article as GA and removed the B-Class tag, does that mean that the quality of the article has been downgraded? If the article warranted a downgrade in status, could you please post comments on the talk page that provide reasons for the downgrade in article's class? Never mind...answered my own question because of my misunderstanding. I see that the GA class is above the B-Class, but below the A-Class. Sorry to bother. lwalt 22:21, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Wikify Template
No problem ... :) I have watchlisted the template and will continue to manually update it, along with {{Copyedit progress}}, {{Merge progress}}, and {{Notability progress}}, every 5-7 days. That is, of course, if your bot request does not materialise for whatever reason. I've left detailed comments to User:Betacommand in the hope that they will help him automate the process of updating the templates. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 20:54, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Hey
Hey there flubeca, I'm doing fine. Nothing new happening this past week, just editing a few articles on wikipedia. And by the way I like the tool Lupin a lot it finds the vandalism. I havent seen a tool like that before it's awesome same with twinkle. Anyways Cheers, Davis160 23:41, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- The mode that I use on lupin are sometimes the recent IP edits, all recent changes or the live spellcheck, if thats what you meant by your question.

Hi Flubeca,
It looks like the issues you raised with the GA review should not be too difficult to address. Would it be possible for you to place it {{GAOnHold}} for a week, rather than immediately failing the article? Also could you clarify which image captions you find objectionable? Thank you. — RJH (talk) 17:57, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, I've made a few changes and I'll push it through again. Hopefully we'll get more feedback. — RJH (talk) 18:16, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey flubeca, I am doing great and yes I do like your signature :) I'm just wondering how make a signature like that? Because I don't know how to. Davis160 20:31, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Flubeca
I am curious about the message I received about editing the page for Buckner, Illinois. The only information I put on the page were the views of the town from a candidate for Mayor. These quotes themselves only stated things that everyone knows to be true about the town and contained no personal attacks. Furthermore, the page that I created about "Flubeca" was received as a personal attack, even though I stated what was my own personal opinion. I do in fact find it creepy that after I do do something that is contestable, that 10 seconds later it is changed. If you truly feel insulted then I just have to say, "Get a sense of humor; or toughen up". (I love you like an old man loves his socks.)1
RE: RE: Oh, then it seems that I am mistaken on the Buckner thing, however, I do plan on editing the Time page with my proof of time being non existent, just as soon as I settle an argument with my scientific colleague.
(1) See, that was called a joke.

Of course, sweetie! :) Is there anything else you'd like to have at your userpage, other than your userboxes? You know, when building one, it's usually best to have a little more content in order to make it look better, not to mention the informative aspect. But it's just an advice - I can work with the current material :) Any preferences regarding colors? Love, Phaedriel - 19:38, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for reverting the article for South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut back to the way it was. I must say, it's very suspicious how nearly all of the vandalisers are people who don't have accounts, or are not logged in. Hi, Flubeca! What's up with the images of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu? --Klimov 13:54, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm... They should be logged in the deletion log then, shouldn't they? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=delete&user=&page=Chnn_1.jpg doesn't find anything.--Klimov 19:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- No, Flubeca, I've being seeing the images for a long time. They were displayed maybe for a year.
- The reason, why I'm discussing this with you is that it appears that you've changed the page and then the images disappeared. Could it be a result of your actions?--Klimov 20:24, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

AFC Backlog Drive!
WikiProject AFC is holding a one month long assessment drive!
The goal of this drive is to eliminate the backlog of unreviewed articles. The drive is running from July 15, 2007 – August 15, 2007.
Awards to be won range from delicacies such as the WikiCookie to barnstars.
There is a backlog of more than one year, so start reviewing articles! Visit the drive's page and help out!
This drive was organized by GrooveDog in an attempt to terminate that nasty backlog.
GrooveDog (talk) 01:51, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely. I'll be on vacation for about 5 days from the 15th to 20th, so if anyone has any questions, you could answer those. Other then that, there's not really anything to help out with besides working on the backlog. You could maybe find out a way to determine how many articles a person had reviewed, but we can always go to the honor system. :) GrooveDog (talk) 02:03, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Your secret
I'm just that good.
Nah, to be serious, I just found some nice anti-vandalism helper software. Check out Anti-vandal Tool; its "Filter recent changes" mode is great. I also have Twinkle installed to make issuing warnings to users (and reporting users to AIV, if necessary) easier. Cheers, Iknowyourider (t c) 01:57, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- (in reply to) The nice thing about Lupin's (as opposed to IRC) is that you get an entire diff, instead of just an edit summary. And the fact that the RSS feed is only refreshed every 30 seconds or so lets me work in batches -- find a few edits to revert and open the rollback links in new tabs, then go through that batch and leave warnings, and then usually I'm ready for a new set of changes to look over just as it comes in. But anyway. Iknowyourider (t c) 02:03, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism report on User:Unfreeride
Since he wasn't using language as abusive as he was before the block, and since he was citing a source I couldn't verify, it looks enough like a content dispute that I took it off AIV and am suggesting WP:AN/I instead. Daniel Case 02:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
