Speedy deletion nomination of Makoto Koshinaka

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Makoto Koshinaka requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hi. Thanks for your recent contributions, however, they seem to be copyright violations. Wikipedia has strict rules on copyright infringements, and these are not optional. You are not at liberty to ignore them. If you re-post copyrighted material again, you will be blocked from editing. Basalisk inspect damageberate 18:02, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please let me know where I can upload the content, so you can see it. It is a page about a musician/actor. I changed the text, so it is original (meaning not copied from anywhere). I am linking to some other existing pages, related to the subject. I am also indicating the pages I used as sources. I need an advice on this, because "they seem to be copyright violations" is not enough for me, since I worked very hard on that page and observed all your rules. I AM NOT USING ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL, not even a photograph. Please, help me. Can i post here the contents of the page, maybe you have a few minutes to highlight for me what I should change to be OK? Thank you. Best regards. Felixuca (talk) 18:55, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I uploaded the page, completely changing the content of the "Information" area. Please take the time to review it. It is completely original, sticking to the pure facts. Also, it is the most complete English article about this personality. It completes your already existing articles on Λucifer and La'cryma Christi. I did my best and even more. I thank the kind editors who took the time to guide me a little. Hope to hear a good news from you. Felixuca (talk) 20:34, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I managed got some more links, in the mean while. Please let me know if you need more. As you can see, the sites are either in Japanese, either in Thai, either in Chinese. I even found one in French! It goes to show that a page on Wikipedia, on English, would have a lot of visitors who search info about this artist. I was one of them, a while back. Believe me, I can't learn Japanese and Thai on the fly, to understand. And it did took a while to gather all this information and make this article for all the others, like me. It's simple basic info. I hope it will find itself a place in Wikipedia, for all the people using the encyclopedia. That's pretty impressive! Incorporate some of this in the article and it should survive AFD no issues. I'll rev isit the article in a day or two and change my rationale after seeing how it fleshes out but really this was a good bit of work! Hell In A Bucket (talk) 08:47, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I edited again the article, trying to incorporate some of the information above. Can you please have a look and let me know if there is still work to be done? I am trying not to make it too stuffy, and to stick only to the essentials... But, if necessary, I will add even more. Thank you, you are the best! Felixuca (talk) 11:40, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Makoto Koshinaka has been reverted.
Your edit here to Makoto Koshinaka was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/makoto.koshinaka.3) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:55, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please, you reverted all the changes I made during this day... It's a LOT of work, not only in the links section, but also on information and everything else. How can I retreieve my data and delete ONLY the link to facebook? Please, help me... I lost A LOT of work :( Felixuca (talk) 19:00, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please, somebody help me... I lost every change I made since yesterday... all the references... everything. Felixuca (talk) 19:03, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, I will start manually re-doing my work. Thank you!Felixuca (talk) 19:14, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I fixed it for you. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 19:21, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

God bless you! Felixuca (talk) 19:25, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, I tried to implement some other cool features I found in other pages, but I am not touching anything anymore. I am afraid I'll mess up my work so far. I just had one more question: in order to add a photo, what are the conditions, so my work won't be deleted? I need to get permission from the person whom this page is about? How do the others find pictures to post on Wikipedia? Thank you!Felixuca (talk) 19:38, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

User owned or free licensing is the pictures people have up here. It only needs permission if someone else owns the copies of the images. FWIW I think you are trying really hard in a positive way and I see that. I've asked an adminstrator who I believe fluent in Japanese and Thai to look over what you've got too so we can adequately see the sourcves from where they are from. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 19:54, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wish me luck, I am trying to use this option: {{cite web |url= |title= |last1= |first1= |last2= |first2= |date= |work= |publisher= |accessdate=5 December 2012}}... Hope I don't mess up anything Felixuca (talk) 15:31, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Good luck none of your work will be permanently lost...even when deleted Admin can see the deleted version and restore when needed. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 15:35, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Victory!!! I didn't mess up anything. But still, I put a "lead section" and did this whole complicated transformation of the references... I still have two weird messages on the page, saying I don't have... "This article has no lead section. (December 2012) This article uses bare URLs for citations. (December 2012". I truly hope everything is in order now... Felixuca (talk) 16:43, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

The English spelling is correct. I am a translator and a proofreader, by profession. However, I may need a quick proofreading on the Japanese side, since I am just beginning to learn this language. Please let me know about which changes in style are required and I will try to comply ASAP. All the best! Felixuca (talk) 20:55, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the picture of the artist for this page. I am unable to find on Google pictures under a common creative licence. What do you advise me to do? Can I use maybe the picture used by the artist as profile picture on Facebook (I read they changed their regulations about public sharing of materials posted on Facebook) or a picture used by the named artist on Twitter (or on Twipple)? Or can I upload a picture from the official website and indicate the source? In case none of the above apply, what kind of permission do I need to get from the artist in order to post one of his pictures on Wikipedia? I need a written permission? (That would be quite hard, but I am willing to try the impossible :) ) Thank you.Felixuca (talk) 23:17, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
