Main Page redesign

The Main Page Redesign proposal is currently conducting a straw poll to select five new designs, before an RFC in which one will be proposed to replace the Main Page. The poll closes on October 31st. Your input would be hugely appreciated! Many thanks, PretzelsTalk! 10:29, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

ACC Tool

Someone, probably you, requested access to the account creation tool. For security purposes could you please confirm that it was you who made the request so we can approve you, thanks. FunPika 01:33, 7 December 2008 (UTC) Yes I can. And wow that was fast for this time of night. PXK T /C 01:50, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for applying to access the account creation tool. I have approved your request. You may now access the tool here. Before you do so, please read the tool's guide to familiarize yourself with the process. You may also want to join #wikipedia-en-accounts on irc and the mailing list. Keep in mind that the ACC tool is a powerful program, and misuse may result in your access being suspended by a tool administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. FunPika 01:57, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

ECW

There was a consensus at WP:PW to leave it under RAW. The title is still a RAW title, it is only listed under the ECW superstars page since both champions are ECW wrestlers. TJ Spyke 19:27, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

No problem, people who don't check WP:PW probably wouldn't be aware of it. I put a hidden message on the page so that anybody who gos to edit it will see that it was agreed not to add the title to the ECW page. TJ Spyke 19:53, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Unblanking Mister Alcohol's RFA

Just curious how unblanking it after a grand total of 30 minutes of non-unanimous discussion helped anything? Not a rhetorical question, but a real one. How did your edit help anything? Is this a crisis of some kind? That was uncool, IMHO. --barneca (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

thank you for your assistance

Hello, i am Teledildonix314, and i wanted to send you an email but your info is private so i am using your Talk page instead. Sorry if this clutters your Talk page, i understand you might want to delete this after you read my words, to keep your page neat and personalized.

I am writing because i want to apologize to you. I can see now that you were doing your ordinary work as an editor and as an administrator, and you were probably thinking i could be helped by a few of your well-intended words and messages. Unfortunately, at the time, i had felt like i was being attacked by editors and administrators, and i stupidly did not make an effort to listen to you carefully because i was all inflamed and impatient and unwilling to proceed reasonably. I hope you will forgive that type of behavior, i will try very hard to avoid ever being like that in the future.

I wanted to contribute and i thought people were being disrespectful, and then when you came along to help i just didn't listen and i accidentally let some of my resentment get directed toward you. I am sorry i hurt your feelings, i can see that i was wrong. In the future i will be a million times more cautious and slow before i reply to anybody because i don't want to make the same mistakes again. I feel like i am gradually learning how to improve my participation and contributions here, and i thank you for helping me to learn. Teledildonix314 (talk) 19:51, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Re:GA

Right now I don't believe I will be able to work or commit myself to anything because I am about to restart school, but what kind of article did you have in mind?--Truco 23:16, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

It looks as if its at GA quality at the moment, it is just missing a lead. I can write the lead, and copyedit the article, but what are you going to do?--Truco 23:23, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

re

I don't think it matters anyway. I did not nominate it during the round, it just passed during it. I don't think it counts.--WillC 00:27, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
