We have now reached our goal of getting the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 592. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
The Collaboration has recently been revamped, and we will now have 6 collaborations at a time. The current collaborations will stand until they reach a certain goal, e.g. Good article status.

Because the Signpost hasn't been sent in a while, to save space, I've condensed all seven issues that were not sent into this archive. Only the three issues from November are below.
There are currently 601 articles in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.

Someone, probably you, requested access to the account creation tool. For security purposes could you please confirm that it was you who made the request so we can approve you, thanks. FunPika 01:33, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes I can. And wow that was fast for this time of night. PXKT/C01:50, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for applying to access the account creation tool. I have approved your request. You may now access the tool here. Before you do so, please read the tool's guide to familiarize yourself with the process. You may also want to join #wikipedia-en-accounts on irc and the mailing list. Keep in mind that the ACC tool is a powerful program, and misuse may result in your access being suspended by a tool administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. FunPika01:57, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
This is a new section in the newsletter to help familiarize project members with the Manual of Style, which should help them in editing not only professional wrestling articles, but all articles in general.
Avoid using bolding to emphasize text. See MOS:BOLD for appropriate uses of bold text.
If you do not want your information removed from articles, please use proper grammar and cite your sources.
Avoid jargon such as face/babayface, heel, turn, etc. in articles. People unfamiliar with professional wrestling will not understand what these words mean. See WP:JARGON for more information.

ECW
Latest comment: 16 years ago2 comments1 person in discussion
There was a consensus at WP:PW to leave it under RAW. The title is still a RAW title, it is only listed under the ECW superstars page since both champions are ECW wrestlers. TJSpyke19:27, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
No problem, people who don't check WP:PW probably wouldn't be aware of it. I put a hidden message on the page so that anybody who gos to edit it will see that it was agreed not to add the title to the ECW page. TJSpyke19:53, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

There is a new consensus to remove notes such as most reigns, first reign, last reign, etc. in the championships and accomplishments section. See here for more information.

The television show RAW should now be written as Raw per WP:MOSCAPS.

Just curious how unblanking it after a grand total of 30 minutes of non-unanimous discussion helped anything? Not a rhetorical question, but a real one. How did your edit help anything? Is this a crisis of some kind? That was uncool, IMHO. --barneca (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
thank you for your assistance

Hello, i am Teledildonix314, and i wanted to send you an email but your info is private so i am using your Talk page instead. Sorry if this clutters your Talk page, i understand you might want to delete this after you read my words, to keep your page neat and personalized.
I am writing because i want to apologize to you. I can see now that you were doing your ordinary work as an editor and as an administrator, and you were probably thinking i could be helped by a few of your well-intended words and messages. Unfortunately, at the time, i had felt like i was being attacked by editors and administrators, and i stupidly did not make an effort to listen to you carefully because i was all inflamed and impatient and unwilling to proceed reasonably. I hope you will forgive that type of behavior, i will try very hard to avoid ever being like that in the future.
I wanted to contribute and i thought people were being disrespectful, and then when you came along to help i just didn't listen and i accidentally let some of my resentment get directed toward you. I am sorry i hurt your feelings, i can see that i was wrong. In the future i will be a million times more cautious and slow before i reply to anybody because i don't want to make the same mistakes again. I feel like i am gradually learning how to improve my participation and contributions here, and i thank you for helping me to learn. Teledildonix314 (talk) 19:51, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Re:GA
Right now I don't believe I will be able to work or commit myself to anything because I am about to restart school, but what kind of article did you have in mind?--Truco 23:16, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
It looks as if its at GA quality at the moment, it is just missing a lead. I can write the lead, and copyedit the article, but what are you going to do?--Truco 23:23, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it matters anyway. I did not nominate it during the round, it just passed during it. I don't think it counts.--WillC00:27, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Per WP:MOSCAPS, television shows, such as RAW and iMPACT!, should be written as Raw and Impact!.
Due to a new consensus formed by Wikipedia users, dates should be unlinked in all articles, per WP:MOSNUM.
Please familiarize yourself with the general notability policy of Wikipedia. Avoid creating new articles that do not satisfy the requirements.
Avoid overlinking in an article. If a subject has been linked once already in the body paragraphs, there is no need to link it again, unless the length of the article requires it to be linked a second time. Lists are the only exceptions to this policy.

From the Judges
This years WikiCup started off great! It's only the second full week of competition, and we already have a lot of content promoted. We have some very close pools, such as Pool A and J. We also have some pools who have not been very active yet, but hopefully that will start changing in the coming weeks.
Garden and iMatthew have also opened a new pool, the "Judge's Pool" where we are competing against each other and following the same rules as all of you. This pool however, will never have any effect on the actual competition, but you can still check back often to see how we are doing compared to yourself.
That's it for this newsletter edition, everyone. Any questions or comments are always welcome on the WikiCup talk page, or our user talk pages. Until next time, Garden. and iMatthew // talk // 13:55, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
If you don't wish to receive this newsletter in the future, remove your name from this list.
