Welcome to Wikipedia!
editI'm Jauerback, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{Help me}}
here on your talk page and someone will try to help.
There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Tip
editHi and welcome. After seeing your report at WP:ANI, I think you might find Wikipedia:Requests for administrator attention useful as it explains the best venue to use for reporting various types of problems.
I also wanted to point out that when making a report, you should provide links to the edit(s) that validate what you're stating. Always be able to support any claim that you make against another editor. For example, you said TraceNothing "keeps pinging me and tells me to go somewhere else"
TraceNothing made 5 edits and didn't ping you or tell you to go somewhere else in any of them. Don't overstate behavior or characterize other editors ("now being ignorant"
) when making a complaint. Hope that helps! Schazjmd (talk) 16:59, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- Telecable of SC was the former name of TCI in South Carolina before it became Spectrum. Thanks for noting this! The source is from https://www.goupstate.com/story/news/1988/09/01/telecable-may-build-local-origination-station/29503640007/ BryceM2001 (talk) 13:00, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
Trouted
editWhack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly. |
I just closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Norges-la-Ville as keep, and Geschichte seemed to think this treatment was in order for you due to your nomination. I am personally neutral about if such treatment is warranted. JJPMaster (she/they) 17:10, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
editHi BryceM2001. Thank you for your work on Winter Storm Blair. Another editor, Queen of Hearts, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
"Winter Storm Blair" is not mentioned in this article and a Google doesn't return anything relevant. Can you please explain the relation between these terms (and preferably add it to the article)? Thanks!
- Ok, WS Blair is the unofficial name for the storm system that is coming to our area (East Coast of US). You can delete for now, but when it Officially becomes Blair, you can undelete.
- Thanks for pointing this out! Stay safe. ☃️BryceM2001 (talk) 12:12, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
