Banned films#Malaysia

edit

Bryan, I'm curious about your edits to Banned films#Malaysia. The factual content looks good (although I admit I haven't checked it for accuracy); however, you also added a couple of paragraphs of explanatory text that seem very point-of-view and biased in favor of Malaysian censorship. Was this your intent? I suspect that English is not your first language, so I want to find out what you were trying to say, before I try to recast those paragraphs into a less inflammatory tone. :) Thanks. (Reply on my talk page or Talk:Banned films#Malaysia section, please.) --Quuxplusone 23:53, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

edit

Yikes! Bryan, please don't copy text from http://www.jfklibrary.org/Historical Resources/Biographies and Profiles/Biographies/Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy First Lady 1961-1963.htm and put it on Wikipedia, if you didn't write it. That's copyright infringement, and it's a very bad thing, legally speaking, which Wikipedia needs to avoid at all costs. --Quuxplusone 23:57, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Misinformation re: Star Trek: The Section 31 Files

edit

Please do not add unhelpful and non-constructive information to Wikipedia, as you did to Star Trek (Fan made productions). Your edits could be considered vandalism, and they have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Kirok of L'Stok 11:43, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

But, Star Trek: The Section 31 Files is currently on hiatus after 3.05, possibly in favor of his original sci-fi tale, Far Horizons. --Bryan Seecrets 14:14, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Prove it. Wikipedia is about verifiable facts, NOT opinions, wishes or ScuttleButt. If you can give a reference for your statement I will be happy to allow it to stand but you and I both know that you have been told that the only way that S31 will be put into hiatus is if you continue your campaign of misinformation. The same goes for ST Pioneers as well - get your facts straight before you post.--Kirok of L'Stok 22:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Star Trek fan productions, you will be blocked. --Kirok of L'Stok 22:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Star Trek fan productions, you will be blocked. Kirok of L'Stok 09:21, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I know, I know, I just leave this alone. S31 is currently on hiatus, you haven't aware of it yet?!
Being in hiatus means that there is no work being done on the production and there is none planned for an extended length of time. Whilst it is true that there has been no episode for two months as against their usual one a month, you have to take into account that they released *two* episodes in December and, like most people, they took some time off over Christmas ... plus Eric is recovering from a serious car accident - weren't you aware of that? I happen to know that Mak has passed the files to Eric yesterday for post production. You have to be able to verify what you post and after your previous record I am not willing to accept ANY unverified material from you. You MUST give a link to something that verifies your posting, I can't stress that strongly enough. This is not a forum that deals in rumour and conjecture, it is an encyclopedia that deals in FACTS.
If you post inflammatory, unverified material one more time you WILL be blocked and the responsibility for this action will lie solely with you. YOU will have caused this to happen to yourself. I urge you NOT to do it.--Kirok of L'Stok 22:48, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I didn't post inflammatory and unverified material as of now. --Bryan Seecrets 19:20, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've recently heard S31 has ended in a cliffhanger, isn't it true? --Bryan Seecrets 03:09, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Bryan, you're having me on, aren't you? They've just posted a new episode THIS WEEK! Surely to goodness you aren't going to start so soon with your "are they ended?" posts as soon as they have published an episode? At least you have had the decency to post it on your User page instead of the Star Trek: Fan Productions article.--Kirok of L'Stok 08:32, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gabrielle (Xena)

edit

Hi. You added the following text to this article: " The origins of her name lies in the Xena Scrolls herself. Her name Gabrielle is neither originated from Greek, nor fit traditional Ancient Greek religious concepts, but it is rather than a French given name. It does, however, have a grammatically correct Greek feminine ending and contains no anti-Greek sounds (pronounced as Gab-ree-el-lay)."

Can you provide some references for that? I haven't heard of it before. Bards 15:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Uh. Yeah, see if I can do that. --Bryan Seecrets 02:59, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I found a reference to that: A WOMAN OF DECEPTION: GABRIELLE???!
Thanks Bryan. Any objection if I rearrange the text, so that it reads better? Also, you can't quote all of that as a "fact", because even in that article some of it is the author's guesswork. Lastly, the scrolls are a fictional source; we shouldn't pretend they are real. Bards 20:55, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Butlerian Jihad edits

edit

Hi. Sorry, but I just reverted your last edits to two paragraphs in the Butlerian Jihad article.

The changes to the first paragraph you edited did not make sense as English. The addition of the BG and Spacing Guild to the second paragraph did not really contribute that much (it is true that they developed in response to the disappearance of computers, of course) and distract from the main point of the paragraph, that Mentats are the main human replacement for "thinking machines". --SandChigger 02:34, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Raiden Fighters.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Raiden Fighters.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Apophis

edit

Hi! Noticed you were advertising (maybe not the best word) your new game on Wikipedia, so I hopped over the the Sauer forums to read your post. It sound pretty interesting to me--but then again, some games sound interesting while they are very dull (and vice-versa). Any plans on setting up a web site? (SourceForge projects come with some kind of server thing, I think--consider SourceForge for project hosting.) Hope the game works out! (Oh, and also "Though its title referred only to the Egyptian mythological demon of darkness and chaos, it refers to the Greek name of Apep"? That's really confusing. Could you reword that?) — SheeEttin {T/C} 02:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there is, but I can still say the game is still in early phases of pre-production and is currently part of the Sauerbraten game engine (alongside with Eisenstern and its FPS game module). The title refers to the Greek name of the Egyptian demon of darkness and chaos, Apep, in fact. Bryan Seecrets 07:29, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fan Wars

edit

Well, given that Fan Wars is a fan film and a re-imagining of the 1999 film of the same name, it should be similar to the 2008 film Fanboys, because it will be a feature-length open movie. I'm at Celebration in the rain, I've waited in line for the Star Wars special editions and prequels, as well as the anticipated Half-Life sequel, the future Star Trek productions, the 50th anniversary of Malaysia's independence and the Space Age. Making this film is very important to the world to me.

The film's page on Celtx Project Central is perhaps one of its reliable sources. Can I create that article on the film project I'm working on with no blatant advertising, but with neutral point of view, and reliable and verifiable sources? I want to establish its notability. --Bryan Seecrets 07:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's no similarity between your project and something like Fanboys, which is *not* an open-source film, and has no connection to the short film of the same name. Your film has not been made, you were not involved in any way with the original fan trailer, and based on your posting history on TFN it's very likely that the film will not ever get made. If, somehow, it does get made, then, and only then, would there be the *possibility* of it being notable enough for an encyclopedic article, but that's very unlikely, based on current information. As it stands now, it's completely non-notable. Yes, it's important you you. But important to the greater community? Hardly. The Celtx page is utterly useless as far as reliable sources are concerned, as it's entirely based on information provided by you - it's not an independent third-party site, as referenced here. Futhermore, Wikipedia is not a personal website for your to present information on your own project - go get your own webhost for that. If your prject is deemed notable, let others determine that and write the article - you should also read this page for more information about conflicts of interest.
