Speedy deletion nomination of Bagus Kahfi

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bagus Kahfi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bagus Kahfi. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Nick Hayes (footballer, born 1999)

edit

A tag has been placed on Nick Hayes (footballer, born 1999) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

I very much don't know what CSD criterion this falls under (if any), but the page that currently exists was malplaced at Nick Hayes (footballer, born 1999 until moved recently, and there was tagged for WP:A10 as not meaningful different from Nick Hayes (footballer, born 1999); however, the article that was referred to then was draftified as Draft:Nick Hayes (footballer, born 1999) as the page author noted that "None of these sources are independent or significant" upon submission of the article to mainspace. It seems now that this is a duplicate with the exact same issues that is in mainspace but cannot be draftified due to a draft with the exact same content existing at Draft:Nick Hayes (footballer, born 1999)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

File permission problem with File:User-Fxxkingbay.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:User-Fxxkingbay.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 21:50, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Fxxkingbay

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Fxxkingbay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

@Fxxkingbay: While your user page doesn't qualify for WP:CSD#U5 due to your work outside of your user page, I will say that you do have an excessive amount of what can be described as "social media" content there. I strongly suggest you cut this down to a minimum. While I can't delete your userpage, I will post the info I normally leave on U5 violations below. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:15, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. I also write about me on the userpage just like other users, I even write it using a third person point of view. I write info about myself via Template:Infobox Wikipedia user, not through other infoboxes. My main goal at Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons is to write unpublished articles, correct and update existing articles and upload images and media that I took myself. Fxxkingbay (talk) 12:19, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I still suggest you trim it down. Your userpage is not just like other users. Writing about yourself in the third person makes it look like an article about yourself, instead of a place (quoted from my information below) intended only to assist collegiality among users. It does look like you are using it as a personal website or as a social media site, which is not allowed. Again, I'm not going to delete it, I'm just giving you friendly advise that you should seriously consider. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:24, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@UtherSRG: Alright thanks for the advice, really appreciate it. I will minimize data about myself. Cheers🍻 Fxxkingbay (talk) 12:31, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Username

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Fxxkingbay", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it's dispruptive or offensive.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Secretlondon (talk) 17:19, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'll consider it. It's true that the word Fxxking in my username refers to the f-word, but there is a backstory to that. I took inspiration from a Japanese streetwear brand, Fxxking Rabbits. I found out about the brand when they collaborated with a local shoe brand from my country (Indonesia), Sepatu Compass, by launching Compass x Fxxking Rabbits V1 shoe in 2020. In 2022, they even called for a campaign aimed at encouraging young people to live healthily through their collaboration shoes, Retrograde. One of the messages contained in their campaign is a cigarette warning that is commonly found on every cigarette pack in Indonesia, "Smoking Kills", on the heel and sole of the shoe.
Meanwhile, the word bay refers to my first name, Bayu. Fxxkingbay (talk) 18:25, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Bayu! Just chiming in to say that I'd really encourage a username change to something more appropriate for Wikipedia. Regardless of inspiration, the fxxking reference is still at odds with the professional environment we try to cultivate here. I just removed your account from WP:UAA as I didn't think urgent action was required, but if WP:RFCN is the next step, it's highly likely that there would be a consensus to disallow this particular username. Let me know if you have any questions about the renaming process. Thank you! – Juliancolton | Talk 13:09, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
First of all thank you for removing my account from WP:UAA, I really appreciate it; even though my username actually conflicts with the professional environment you guys are trying to develop. And it seems I am willing to change it, and will change it as soon as I can. Again, Thank you!! Fxxkingbay (talk) 14:01, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Malachi Sharpe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scottish. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your images

edit

You have been uploading copyrighted images without permission and have even claimed one as your own. Please stop or I'll have to report you for a block on Commons. I asked you to stop there, but there has been no response. Linkin Prankster (talk) 09:48, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Do you mean File:Jey Uso on SmackDown in 2023.jpg? Yes, I was wrong, but that was pure coincidence, I forgot to change the source. I uploaded it at the same time as uploading File:Jimmy Uso in 2014.jpg, and in Jimmy's file, I remember to put the correct source. Then again, I was wrong. Bayu Oktarino (talk) 12:05, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
It matters little. The image is still copyrighted by WWE and you've provided no permission it's free to use or have gained their permission. If you continue uploading copyrighted images without adequate license or permission, I'll have to seek a block. Thank you. Linkin Prankster (talk) 19:07, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I know bud, I told you I was wrong, even if it wasn't on purpose. I'm just giving an answer, so what kind of answer do you want? I'm not the kind of person who would claim ownership from someone. All the information in my userpage is personal information, and if I continue to do such things on purpose, it will tarnish my good name. Just chill out.
You can check all the files I uploaded on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. I show some on my userpage, and the rest you can find yourself. Have I ever uploaded a file that wasn't mine but I claimed otherwise? Once again I apologize to the WWE, Wikipeda, Wikimedia Commons and all parties who were harmed for the mistakes I made. Bayu Oktarino (talk) 21:21, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes you did, you recently claimed a private university logo as your own. But even if you clarify it's not your file you must show proof you have been given permission to use the image or show proof of whether the copyright status allows using it. You are still not listening. Linkin Prankster (talk) 03:16, 19 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I warned you not to upload anymore copyrighted images without the right license or permission. Your upload of the CM Punk and Aurora Ribero images by Loudwire from YouTube claims to have a Creative Commons 3.0 license (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CM_Punk_Interviewed_by_Loudwire.jpg) (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Aurora_Ribero_Interviewed_NOVA.jpg).

But I checked both the videos and they have no such license. This will be your last warning, if you upload images violating copyright again I will have to complain you to the admins for a block. Linkin Prankster (talk) 11:19, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, to be honest I realized too late that not screenshots of all exclusive videos of a channel on Youtube can be added to commons, because this is the first time for me. I have requested to delete those two images by adding the {{SD|1=G7}} tag.
But if you're fed up, just report me now, let the admins make the decision. I've had enough of your threats, giving advice to someone doesn't mean you have to threaten them, right? Bayu Oktarino (talk) 12:00, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
You were advised first but you chose not to listen, so I havw to resort to warnings. You clearly didn't care for checking the actual license before uploading. I'm not here because I'm fed up. I hope you can improve and stop your behaviour. That's why I didn't immediately report you, but the next violation will result in a report.
I'm reverting you btw, I had already marked the images for speedy delete and under the correct category of copyright violation which you committed. Linkin Prankster (talk) 12:08, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, thanks a lot for the advice at first, friend.
But as a fellow user, I can also give you some friendly advice, right? I realize you have much higher knowledge than me, about what should be uploaded and what not, how to write proper license, so why don't you give directions to idiots like me about it, like provide how-to-guide articles rather than constantly threatening them under the guise of "advice". Bayu Oktarino (talk) 12:28, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I told you to use the correct license the image is under, it's not like you don't know how to find them. You know about clrrect licenses as you've corrected those of Flickr images (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Jimmy_Uso_in_2014.jpg) (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:College_Student_of_Sriwijaya_University.jpg).
Only if the source webpage says it has a Creative Commons license, then upload it under a Creative Commons license. Only if you took a picture, If it's not under a copyright where you can use it on Wikipedia, get permission and please don't upload it until you do. I told you about getting permission too.
If you really didn't know then now you do. I asked you to stop uploading copyright violating images politely at first, I didn't resort immediately to "threats". But you didn't stop uploading the images. Warnings are only given when a user doesn't improve. Linkin Prankster (talk) 13:48, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Haha okay man, sorry for all this misunderstanding, thanks for all the input so far. And sorry for all my words that hurt your feelings. Cheers. Bayu Oktarino (talk) 14:32, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Linkin Prankster: Hey, I don't wanna spoil your talk page, so I'll just talk here. Since our argument over my file has ended, I hope you can keep some distance from me. I know your intentions are actually good, but I can't take it anymore after all of this stuff. Unless if you accidentally saw my files is totally against the rules, and you can prove it without a doubt. Then go ahead. Thank You. Bayu Oktarino (talk) 18:43, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Like I said, I am not interested in stalking you. This time I was mistaken and I apologise. It's not like I know everything. But copyright violation is a serious violation. I would have complained you if I was right but I'm not. Anyway, I'll only examine your files if I happen by them by chance while browsing Wikipedia like I did with images for Usos brothers. I have no interest in monitoring you. Linkin Prankster (talk) 19:00, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
But it doesn't look like that lol. But yeah okay. Bayu Oktarino (talk) 19:06, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Move of redirect Daniel Seavey into Draft:Daniel Seavey

edit

Hi, could you please explain your reasoning for this edit Special:Diff/1173026095 in which you moved the redirect page Daniel Seavey into the draft namespace at Draft:Daniel Seavey? Thanks, Fork99 (talk) 21:41, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Fork99: Hi, I think he's already deserved his own Wikipedia article since going solo and has published several projects and tours. I have been working on making the article and it was finished, when I wanted to publish it, Edit Conflict happened because someone edited it back to Re-direct page. Bayu Oktarino (talk) 22:56, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the info. If an edit conflict was involved, does that mean you never got to publish the new article? Where is or was your draft located at, if on Wikipedia? By the way, please head over to the central discussion about this issue at Talk:Daniel Seavey#Feedback from New Page Review process to continue any further discussion. Also, when you do go there, does my timeline of events that I give seem to match up with what you experienced? You can cross-check with the edit history and public deletion logs for both Draft:Daniel Seavey and Daniel Seavey. It'll also be best if we don't touch either of these pages until an admin deals with the history merge request I made. Thanks, Fork99 (talk) 04:25, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello there. I'm not sure what happened, but articles older than 90 days should not be moved to draftspace, and redirects should never be moved to draftspace. I've gone ahead and fixed everything. The article is currently a mainspace redirect. History merge was not needed in this particular case, since I just deleted the new redirect. Hope this helps. –Novem Linguae (talk) 06:01, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Toby Collyer has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for information on how to contribute your work appropriately. For legal reasons, Wikipedia strictly cannot host copyrighted text or images from print media or digital platforms without an appropriate and verifiable license. Contributions infringing on copyright will be removed. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information.

Whereas citations to sports news stories can be used to describe a player's career trajectory, you cannot copy entire phrases from sites like Planet Football. Copying journalist Nathan Egerton's unique description of Collyer going "from strength to strength after that six-minute cameo in 2019, establishing himself as a key player in 2020-21" violates his copyright. Given your past warnings about image copyright, please continue your efforts to respect text copyright too! Thank you for creating this article! BluePenguin18 🐧 ( 💬 ) 02:06, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Luke Shaw, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Content not supported by source. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:51, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Professional wrestling in Indonesia

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Professional wrestling in Indonesia indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 22:04, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you for your work on List of international goals scored by Barbra Banda, but in the future, please do not add {{featured list}} to articles. Articles that achieve this status are meant to have gone through the featured list nomination process, and the template will be added by a bot after scrutiny by reviewers and the coordinators. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Argentina national football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 1959 South American Championship.
