Hi, Regarding your edit today at Boiserie do you really think it is an architectural stub? To my way of thinking its more carpentry, interior design or something like that. Giano | talk 21:22, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
- Hello Giano,
- I used arch-stub because that was the best fit I could see, but I'm hardly an expert. I agree 'interior design' seems a better stub-type, but I didn't see that stub-type (nor carpentry) in the lists at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types and Wikipedia:Template messages/Stubs. Do you know of any more comprehensive lists? I'm sure I've seen some stub-types used that aren't on either...
- BRW 21:32, 2005 May 4 (UTC)
- Well, I've changed the category, but I still don't know of any better stub-types

I stumbled upon this stub entirely accidentally; however, I cannot see how this person is notable enough to merit their own article. The claim seems to rest upon her anecdotal television appearances. Based upon the guidelines for notability, this does not appear to be enough. Is there anything to add to make this a credible entry? Mk3severo 01:26, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Wiktionary links
editJust so you know, {{wiktionarypar}} is better than {{wiktionary}}, as the former lets you link to exactly the right article, whereas the latter links to Wiktionary's "Search" feature. (The distinction exists for historical reasons, and {{wiktionary}} still exists for backward compatibility with articles that still use it, but it should never be added to articles, as {{wiktionarypar}} is always better.) For example, I altered your recent edit to Supine to use {{wiktionarypar|supine}}. —RuakhTALK 20:35, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Age category
editHello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:
- Using an age group category, such as Category:Wikipedians in their 30s
- Using a decade category, such as Category:Wikipedians born in the 1970s.
If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 13:04, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Looking for something to do? WikiProject Furry is improving articles on furry and anthropomorphic topics, and we'd like to have you on board.
Our current goal is to raise Anthrocon, furry convention and furry fandom to good article status and beyond - but if that doesn't take your fancy, there are plenty of other articles to work on. Give it a go and let us know how you're doing! You received this one-time invitation because you are a Furry Wikipedian. GreenReaper 23:25, 28 July 2007 (UTC) |
You are now a Reviewer
editHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:07, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of European Air Law Association
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on European Air Law Association, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of European Air Law Association and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 16:15, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Americium-241.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Americium-241.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
editHello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:22, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vinyl cutter, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Signs and Cardboard (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

editYour upload of File:Cockcroft Walton Voltage multiplier.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Howard Weinstein (writer)
editHello BRW,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Howard Weinstein (writer) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
Please claim your upload(s): File:HaylingBillyTrack 2005 09 08.jpg
editHi, This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and adding |claimed=yes
to the {{Media by uploader}} or {{Presumed self}} tag(s) if present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
IF you have other uploads, please consider "claiming" them in a similar manner, You can find a list of files you have created here.
This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transferred to Commons.

Döberitz military training area moved to draftspace
editThanks for your contributions to Döberitz military training area. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Waqar💬 20:13, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Given that clicking "Submit draft for review" button shows me a message saying:
- "Review waiting, please be patient. This may take 4 months or more, since drafts are reviewed in no specific order. There are 3,024 pending submissions waiting for review."
- I wish to register my annoyance against you for having done that in the first place.
- Given that delay, in future instances just send the creator a message saying "this needs references even though it's a stub" or similar. BRW (talk) 10:56, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
