Can I email you
editHi user Astral Leap, I'm a professor of history in Southern California, and I am writing a paper on Wikipedia edit wars relating to Polish-Jewish relations, the arbitration of which you were involved in in December 2020. I was particularly struck by a comment you made on this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement/Archive276#Result_of_the_appeal (sorry, there is probably a more correct way to link to that), and I would really appreciate to hear more of your thoughts on this. I was wondering if I could email you a couple of questions. I am uncomfortable writing my email address here for obvious reasons. Is there any way to email you through Wikipedia? I looked this option up and saw that it sometimes appears in the Tools menu on the left, but I don't see it. Once again I apologize, my knowledge of Wikipedia tools is fairly rudimentary. Thanks in advance and all the best.--Chapmansh (talk) 19:29, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Chapmansh: I have been muzzled. El C posted a 1-way interaction ban on my talk page. I can not address any aspect of your question since I am muzzled. I do not want to post my e-mail address on Wikipedia and I do not want to enable e-mail because I do not want spam and death threats sent to my e-mail. It is bad enough I get these on Wikipedia itself. I have grown disillusioned with Wikipedia, there's a group of old men here who steer everything about and expect everyone else to follow their lead.--Astral Leap (talk) 08:20, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
