Consensus AA
editWhat is your source for the additional consensus team members?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 17:34, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Honestly, I did a google news search for any of those that could've been selected.
Apparently Jordan White has been named Consensus AA, but I have not included him in the list.
I removed Robert Woods, Dwayne Allen, Kevin Zeitler, and Tyler Lockett since I don't know if sports-reference.com is considered reliable.
- For this purpose, I would rely on http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/awards/all-america-2010-2019.html#2011.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:19, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- I just augmented {{2011 NCAA Division I FBS College Football Consensus All-Americans}}.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- I came across a great source. Perhaps in can help everyone involved with WP:CFB. http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_records/2011/Awards.pdf Aquamelli (talk) 16:14, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

AA templates
editIf you get a chance you might want to hlep us create some of the AA templates using sports reference. Once you get back to the early 90s we are missing a lot of years.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:42, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to help
I reverted 2009 College Football All-America Team back to the WP:FL-approved format. You may want to try to take 2011 through WP:FLC with all the formatting changes that you are promoting to get some feedback.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:58, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- P.S. you might want to get some consensus among WP:CFB and then take this consensus with you when you debate at WP:FLC. . . or not.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:11, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Quite honestly, I've never tried to debate an article for WP:FLC. I will take your advice though since I am still "new" to all this compared to others like yourself Aquamelli (talk) 05:36, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
I see that you are helping us fill in Category:American college football consensus All-American navigational boxes. Remember that the templates don't put themselves on all the articles that they are linked to. Please add them to the player's pages and to the annual team article.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:04, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed. I will put forth the effort to make sure that gets done Aquamelli (talk) 05:43, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
Navbox ordering
editAquamelli, thanks for all of your great work of late to build out the college football All-American navboxes. One item I want to mention: the (somewhat unwritten) standard when ordering navboxes for college sports biography articles is to put positional navboxes (e.g. QB, coach) first, championship navboxes second, then awards and honors navboxes third. For example, on Josh Hartwell, the 1891 AA navbox should be placed after the four coaching navboxes. Also, in cases where are three or more championship and/or award navboxes, the standard is to group and collapse them, a la Philip King (American football) or Woody Hayes. Happy holidays and all the best. Jweiss11 (talk) 04:15, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- No problem - I'll begin to follow that standard from now on Aquamelli (talk) 07:09, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- Great. One more thing: these navboxes should also be transcluded on the article for the relevant All-America team itself, e.g. {{1935 College Football Consensus All-Americans}} belongs on 1935 College Football All-America Team. Jweiss11 (talk) 19:38, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Oops, sorry for removing the red-links, I just went back to check to see why they were red-linked in the first place and saw you just create it. To avoid confusion with editors seeing red links, you may want to create the template first, then transclude it on articles. :) — Moe ε 00:34, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Not a problem :)Aquamelli (talk) 01:05, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Help with review
editHi. My name is Mohamed. Can you help me with reviewing an article that uses an Arabic source? I need you to check if this line is supported by this source. Thanks in advance. Mohamed CJ (talk) 22:20, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Vicepresidents of Uruguay
editHi Aquamelli. May I ask you for a kind favor, please? I see that there is an article in Arabic devoted to Rodolfo Nin Novoa, who was Uruguayan Vicepresident from 2005 to 2010. I would be very glad if you could give a helping hand and translate into Arabic the article devoted to another Uruguayan Vicepresident, Alberto Abdala, he was of Lebanese descent and the politician of that ethnicity who acceded to the highest rank so far. Best regards, --Fadesga (talk) 18:48, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Ohio Wikimedians User Group - Invitation
editHi Aquamelli,
I'm Kevin, one of the founding members of the Ohio Wikimedians User Group. Created in July 2016, we're working to be a central group of Ohio Wikimedians who organize and support offline events, promote the Wikimedia movement in Ohio, build connections throughout our state, and above all, support each other. We already have a handful of members and have worked to support multiple events, including Wiki Loves Monuments in the United States and several Art Feminism edit-a-thons at universities throughout Ohio.
I wanted to reach out to you and invite you to join the Ohio Wikimedians User Group. Being a part of the user group will allow easy communication between active Ohio editors, notifications of upcoming events in the Ohio area, and, if you're interested, the opportunity to help organize events such as edit-a-thons or workshops. Some notes:
- All members receive a monthly newsletter with recent happenings, upcoming events, and more. Check out our April newsletter here.
- This Thursday at 8:30 EST, we're having our first online meeting. Check out our meeting page here for more details, an agenda, and a section to sign up if you'd like to join us. Topics will include introductions and brainstorming for future projects.
Right now we have a Wikipedia Takes Columbus photo event going on, a Wiknic coming up this summer, and opportunities to attend the upcoming Ohio Private Academic Libraries Conference. If you're interested in joining us, feel free to add your name here - and feel free to reach out to me (or post on the user group's talk page) with questions or discussions. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 07:29, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
editUS Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |
