Sanath Gunathilaka

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sanath Gunathilaka, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.theonceuponatimemovie.com/director.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Sanath Gunathilaka

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sanath Gunathilaka requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.theonceuponatimemovie.com/director.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello Alexbacho. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Fontainebleau Junior High School, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to schools. Thank you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 03:16, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello Alexbacho, just letting you know we contested the auto deletion for Credit Union Travel Club, and look for your guidance on how best to address our core issue which is explained in the contest description. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Breakthrough6 (talkcontribs) 16:33, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey

edit

Hi Alexbacho, looks like you're pretty new to this whole anti-vandalism thing. Just wanted to let you know that the Reece Izra page is definitely NOT a page that should be deleted for "Advertising or Promotional material". The only concern with the article was that the article creator's name is ReeceIzra, which presents a potential conflict of interest. I've already given the conflict of interest warning and reported the username to the administrators.

Please, when working against vandalism and spam, err on the side of safety. Remember, assume good faith. Oxfordwang (talk) 16:31, 24 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:Untitled 000059.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Untitled 000059.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Medal of Honor Bowl

edit

Please do not threaten Speedy deletion notices when the article, Medal of Honor Bowl, meets WP:Notability as it has significant coverage by multiple article from AP and The Post and Courier, a regional newspaper. Under Wikipedia:Notability (sports), the Medal of Honor Bowl is also notability due to the bowl being an All-star or similar exhibition games. Since is an all star game is a claim of significant, no threate of Speedy deletion should have been made like to 1267tommy2010 on his talk page. Spshu (talk) 19:47, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Silent Night (2014 film)

edit

The article Silent Night (2014 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to satisfy WP:NFILMS

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka

edit

Dear Alexbacho,

Thank you for your contributions to the Wikimedia Projects. As a Sri Lankan editor, you are warmly invited to join the official Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka and to subscribe to its mailing list, Wikimedia-LK.

The user group currently includes volunteers from Wikipedia and other projects, from the English, Sinhala, and Tamil speaking communities. It is the Wikimedia-approved platform for editors from Sri Lanka to enable wider collaboration, for both online and offline projects.

With your support, we hope to organize cross-project content improvement drives as part of online projects, as well as organize in-person edit-a-thons, training sessions, photowalks, and other such activities, in the near future. The ultimate goal(s) of these initiatives is to improve the overall coverage and quality of topics relating to Sri Lanka, as well as encourage new editors to join the Wikimedia community, while simultaneously empowering and retaining our existing team of editors.

There are no mandatory obligations for members who choose join the community, other than the usual editing rules for online projects, and the friendly space policy for in-person projects. You may also (or instead) subscribe to the mailing list, where any member could initiate discussions with volunteers across projects, notify members of events and meetings, stay up to date with competitions, organize your own events, and so on.

See you on board, and Happy Editing!
