  Hello, I'm CaptainEek. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Gallic Wars have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks.   Hello, I'm AgisdeSparte. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Endsieg, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. AgisdeSparte (talk) 19:41, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to University of Antwerp. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 18:43, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Good Afternoon,

I thought it easier to talk through the edit here. My concern with your language is that it comes off as a value laden. IE that this is more "authentic" is a value judgement. Look, I agree with you that the context of this brining economic activity into the mainstream really shows that the rise in poverty is somewhat ephemeral and the reduced transaction costs of legitimate markets will likely increase the standard of living. But, to make that assessment here is original research. If there is a legitimate source (and I'm sure there is if you look) that says that, this could be a legitimate add, but we can't make that kind of assessment based on our personal understandings of economics.

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the intersection of race/ethnicity and human abilities and behaviour, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Flynn effect. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Generalrelative (talk) 22:40, 14 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Kowal2701 (talk) 16:37, 15 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
