Corporate information
- NEED SOURCES The section Financial information mentions something about Swedwood. This company is now called IKEA Industry.
- WORK ON THIS "The ownership of Inter ms is exceedingly complicated and not publicly known. Inter IKEA Systems is owned by Inter IKEA Holding, a company registered in Luxembourg. The Inter IKEA Holding, in turn, is owned by the Interogo Foundation, based in Liechtenstein. [113][114] In 2016, the INGKA Holding sold its design, manufacturing and logistics subsidiaries to the Inter IKEA Holding.[115]"
- USE THESE Updated information about the corporate structure of Inter IKEA Group: http://www.inter.ikea.com/en/about-us/business-in-brief/ and INGKA Group: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/ikeacontentcatalog/this-is-ikea/about-the-ikea-group/ownership-structure/
Manufacturing
- SAME ABOUT SWEDWOOD
Update February 2018
editHello. I'd like to propose some updates to this page, mainly facts & figures. As I have a conflict of interest (working for IKEA), is there anyone who can make these updates? I've included relevant third-party sources below.
Intro
- The second paragraph says: "The IKEA group has a complex corporate structure, which the European Union has alleged was designed to avoid over 1 billion Euros in tax payments over the 2009-2014 period.[17][18]" If you read the source material, you can see that it's the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament who alleges this, not the European Union. It's also (and correctly) mentioned in the Corporate Structure section.
- The second paragraph says: "It is controlled by several foundations based in the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.[19]" There is no foundation in Luxembourg (Inter IKEA Holding SA, which no longer exists, was based in Luxembourg). Inter IKEA Group is owned by Interogo Foundation, based in Liechtenstein and established in 1989. INGKA Holding is owned by Stichting INGKA Foundation in the Netherlands. Additional sources: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/ikeacontentcatalog/this-is-ikea/about-the-ikea-group/ownership-structure/ and http://www.inter.ikea.com/en/about-us/Our-owner/
- Number of stores: As of February 2018, IKEA owns and operates 414 stores in 49 countries. Same source as before; the latest store opening was 26 February 2018 in Israel.
- The last sentence says: "Most of Ikea's stores and factories are owned by INGKA, a holding company that in turn is controlled by the Stichting INGKA Foundation" The factories in question - or more accurately, IKEA Industry - were sold in 2016 to Inter IKEA Group. Source: [1]
Corporate structure
- A paragraph about Australia that had been removed, was put back on 7 January 2018. IKEA Australia used to be operated by two companies. But since 1 March 2017, all IKEA stores in Australia have the same owner. Here are two sources: http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/business/ikea-managing-director-david-hood-talks-about-the-swedishs-giants-in-australia-and-building-more-than-just-25000-sqm-stores/news-story/5acd4a7a315e048058237e687e1d6237&usg=AOvVaw2OBWVZOrTnD_PPj8ralUog and http://newsroom.inter.ikea.com/news/all-ikea-stores-in-australia-to-operate-by-ikea-retail-australia/s/7f88a151-97bf-4a53-95ae-51674324de05

Update November 2017
editHello. I'd like to propose some updates to this page. There is a new CEO and some updated facts & figures. As I have a conflict of interest (working for IKEA), is there anyone who can make these updates? I've included relevant third-party sources below.
Infobox

editI noticed that the names of the CEOs have disappeared from the infobox. As I have a conflict of interest (working for IKEA), is there anyone who can add them back?
