I, Chrislk02, hereby award you my hero of the wiki award for your hard work in upholding the highest standards for this project. While this often means that naysayer's may find fault in your every action, this just means that your actions actually uphold the highest standards of this project. You continue to prevent false information from being entered into articles while remaining patient to even the most troublesome editors. You are truly a hero of this project. It is for all these reasons and more that I award you my Here of the wiki award! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:15, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

The Excellent Userpage Award Your user page is incredible. You must have put lots of time and effort into it... and it shows! In my opinion, fancy, but professional-looking user pages make Wikipedia look more, well, professional. You should definitely be proud. Again, terrific job :) WesternRider 23:28, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

The Original Barnstar For your tireless fight against vandalism, and restoring my user page. Montgomery' 39 12:51, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
-
The Sewer Cover Barnstar You have been awarded the Sewer Cover Barnstar. You have received this, in part, because you were “the first on your block” to link to the page. More important though, you are helping to spread the message among the Wikipedian community that links within our articles should always be topical and germane, that properly chosen links anticipate what the readership of any given article would likely be interested in further reading, and that judiciously selected links invite exploration and learning. Thanks. Greg L (talk) 15:51, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
-
The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar You worked like magic, like you're a "vandal off" switch. Many thanks! :-) FeygeleGoy/פֿײגעלע גױ (talk) 02:00, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

The Editor's Barnstar Thank you for helping to raise Ely, Cambridgeshire to GA status -- Senra (Talk) 01:13, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
-
The Special Barnstar I saw the Apologia section on your userpage. I must say that in a community riddled with pessimism, criticism, conflict and other silliness, it is fabulous to find a user so passionate about the Project. I wish more users were as willing to show their pride and faith in Wikipedia. ClaretAsh 10:58, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Saints Star Award Things don't always work out the way they should in here in the short-term, but they tend to work out better over the longer haul. Whether you're admonished, named and shamed, belittled, targeted or anything else that comes along in this place, there are still folks with reason in here, and they/we know you to be a man of character, trustworthiness, introspection, and moral integrity. What matters more: the truth, or the labels? Best, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:38, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
-
The Editor's Barnstar Thanks a lot for your work on Justin Bieber on Twitter! Arcandam (talk) 23:30, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

The Admin's Barnstar For consistently using calm reasoning and compassion instead of the block button when possible, always assuming good faith, and understanding that good people do make mistakes once in a while. You are an excellent example of adminship. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © 17:57, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diligence I came here to ask if there were other ways I might improve the text on amphetamine, but I was astonished to find that you've dealt with a ton of issues and still found the time to review 2 other FACs this past month. This is for helping with FAC reviews in spite of your busy wiki-life. Seppi333 (Insert 2¢ | Maintained) 09:39, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

The Original Barnstar Well done on Gerry Rafferty. Thanks. I learn something new every day--I didn't even know he was dead. Maybe I should finally buy City to City. Drmies (talk) 15:53, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diplomacy Hello John. Things have calmed down. I feel obligated - and happy to give You this perticulary Barnstar. (Now when I have learned how to, it's my third such award today and ever. I will not make an inflation of them though) The other were common ones, but this diplomacy one, I strongly feel You have earned. Please see it as a humble but huge appriciation of both diplomacy and wise advices. Boeing720 (talk) 10:39, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

The Admin's Barnstar Well done at the MfD for the List of banned users. No matter which way that went, someone was going to be unhappy. But the fact that you took the time to review the arguments and weigh their strengths and weaknesses and make a difficult choice shows you to be someone worthy of the mop and deserving of respect. The Master ---)Vote Saxon(--- 03:25, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
-
The Poland Barnstar of National Merit Please accept this barnstar as a token of my gratitude for your help with the article on Warsaw Uprising (1794). Instead of wasting your time on describing what's wrong with the article, you simply stepped forward and fixed it. Such good work should not go unnoticed. //Halibutt 21:03, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
-
The Barnstar of Diligence I award you this barnstar as you are already working for so many years and trying to make things better. The Copyeditor's Barnstar John, thank you very much for your repeated passes-through of copy-editing help at the article R U Professional. Thanks to your helpful copy-editing assistance, the article was successfully promoted to WP:FA quality. Thanks again, very much !!! Cirt (talk) 01:58, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

The Teamwork Barnstar For guiding Kieronoldham through, what must've been, a horrible subject to write. Your tutorship during the construction has been fantastic and the project has benefitted hugely from your guidence and collaboration. CassiantoTalk 20:23, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
-
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar I've never awarded a barnstar before in eight years (even though I've encountered no shortage of assistance and civility from others), but I just wanted to offer this as my thanks for your tireless efforts improving my previous exhaustive populating on the Robert Black article. I can, maybe, to a degree, hold cards close to my chest as far as contributed text is concerned, as precious few people can delve their mind into subjects like this to the degree I do without becoming psychologically scarred, whereas I can successfully compartmentalise any emotions. Basically, what I mean is, you have shown me to be a little more open as to greater avenues. Thanks, John, and genuine kudos.--Kieronoldham (talk) 02:15, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

The Copyeditor's Barnstar John this is a poor substitute to highlight how impressive your work on Vincent van Gogh has been, but it's more than earned. No amount of gratitude can express the amount and quality of your work there; it's truly been exceptional and a joy to watch. Victoria (tk) 04:00, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
-
The Barnstar of High Culture To John, for all your efforts in bringing Vincent van Gogh to where it is. Thank you for your hard work. Modernist (talk) 11:34, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
-
Barnstar of Fine Art For being the main copy editor and chief prose smith, and for acting as part of the nominator team in working Vincent van Gogh through FAC, and for your endless common good sense. A pleasure; the Vincent article would not have passed without your heavy input and guidance. Ceoil (talk) 23:25, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
-
The Teamwork Barnstar For your wonderful work on Vincent van Gogh. And for being part of what is now known as Wikipedia's Dream Team. A hearty congratulations. CassiantoTalk 17:28, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
-
Barnstar Award for Exceptional Patience It took the Committee a while to find it but we felt you deserve it for 10 years of services rendered and indeed for almost single handedly keeping said Committee on Wikipedia in some troubling times. To appreciate its full beauty the conventional 100px rendering does not suffice - so we've made it bigger (though we won't be upset if you choose to shrink it a bit!). Sarah777 (talk) 15:54, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
-
The Copyeditor's Barnstar Your edits at Margaret Thatcher continue to be very much appreciated. Many thanks, and all the best of luck in future. --Nevé–selbert 23:50, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

"The Hair Follicle Award" If after relentless challenges by editors who just don't get it, you manage to keep all or at least a portion of whatever hair you have left despite the frustration, you deserve recognition. Your hair must be as thick as the skin on the opposition, which means you have really strong hair follicles. Next time it happens - and it will happen as long as you're an admin - just keep doing what you do, relax, enjoy a cold 🍺 or 🍷,
cuteat some cheese or have a bar of 🍫 - or hell, go to the bar - and buy stock in Rogaine. Atsme📞📧 19:01, 27 August 2017 (UTC) -
The Reviewer Barnstar Thank you for your thoughtful review of Scarlett Johansson at its FAC and for your contributions to the article. FrB.TG (talk) 14:27, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
