Charles Goddard Napier (1 August 1889 - 1978 ) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was Alexander Nelson Napier (c. 1856 - 23 March 1917) from Edinburgh.
His mother was Janet Melrose (c. 1854 - 14 April 1929) from Edinburgh.
Charles Goddard Nairn was born on 1 August 1889 in Edinburgh.
He married Hazel May Ballance (6 December 1895 - 15 December 1960) from Woolwich in London. They married on 4 September 1934 in Edinburgh.
Art

editHis wife Hazel May Ballance killed herself by barbiturate poisoning after a bout of depression. She was found in a locked room and died in Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford three days later.[3]
Charles Goddard Napier died in Morningside, Edinburgh in 1978.
