David Bowman Mackay (27 January 1853 - 10 May 1904) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was Angus Mackay (born c. 1819) from Tongue in Sutherland. He was a fish marketer and employed 21 coopers.
His mother was Helen Bowman (born 17 May 1821) from Crail.
David Bowman Mackay was born in Crail on 27 January 1853.[3][4]

editHe died on 10 May 1904 in Crail. He is buried in Crail cemetery.[8]
His estate was valued at £70 on his death.[9]
