James Watterston Herald (29 July 1859 - 17 October 1914) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was William Herald (born c. 1822), a shoemaker from Kinnettles, near Forfar.
His mother was Mary Watterston (born 18 January 1822) from Forfar. William and Mary married on 3 August 1856 in Forfar.
James Watterston Herald was born on 29 July 1859 in Forfar, Angus.

editHe died on 17 October 1914 in Arbroath. He died of cirrhosis of the liver.[3][4][5]
