Alexander Carlyle Bell (21 June 1823 - 3 March 1900) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
editHis father was Carlyle Bell (1780 - 27 August 1850), a lawyer who became a writer to the signet.
His mother was Janet Dickie Cunningham (31 July 1802 - 7 January 1885). Carlyle and Janet married in Edinburgh on 13 July 1821.
Alexander Carlyle Bell was born on 21 June 1823 in Edinburgh and baptised on 13 July 1823.
He married Sarah Ann Bly on 8 February 1862 in Stepney, London.

editHe died on 3 March 1900 in Stirling at 4 Park Avenue.[2]
